Ha - the two brothers I know at UWE are incredibly posh privileged rich Egyptians who, despite the fact that their parents could buy the place three times over, have got fully funded scholarships to be studying at UWE. The older one is a lovely bloke as it happens but his younger brother needs the edges knocking off a bit before he is fit for decent company.

My friend at work who was up for redundancy kept her job this week & found out that she actually rated better than her supervisor at her job (who also kept her job as well) so I'm really pleased for her :)

However in the same breath I'm sad for those also who lost their jobs this week as well, a few people are going who have been there for 20+ years & I hope they find work soon.

At least that's some good news, 'specially after all the redundancies.

I'm about to close my week at work, going to a Michelin starred restaurant for lunch with my partner tomorrow, a Sport relief gig on Saturday and Karaoke with a load of my friends for Saturday evening, then dinner with family on Sunday.

I can't wait for the next 3 days :D

And chrisjames with his castigating Aled for using 'chav' on the show has amused me greatly this morning.

I know it's not nice to be abusive towards forum members but chrisjames is acting like a bit of a Trotters Independent Traders over this whole Chav thing.

I went to have a peek after seeing this post. Thanks Nic, it gave me a wee laugh too!

it seems like he (chrisjames) takes everything so seriously. The whole "I don't want to breathe the same air as you sick people" incident was pretty solid evidence of that, but still, how could you be so offended at some good-natured ribbing about Chris' new coat?

It's amusing me that the adbots on the forum are putting up ads for Aled Jones' Cathedral Tour this autumn. Who knew he was so versatile? And how will they cope without him on the show?! ;)

Whats not to like about this weather? Have spent the weekend in the Garden doing the last of the bush moving and cut the grass and moved the Swing seat, it's all lovely.

The Voice UK. Simply brilliant. Jessie J is coming across so well as well. I couldn't think I could love her anymore than I did before. This show is 10 times better than both X Factor and Britain's Got Talent put together so far.

Jessie J is insufferable! Cannot stand her attention seeking at all.

Tom Jones is hilarious and Will.I.Am is really likeable on there - I'll be watching this for a few weeks I think

Also, my cousin in Norway has asked me to be Godfather to his little boy - so I'll be flying out there in 2 weeks!
