Was the 29th a bank holiday or something?

Judging by the mounth and date, I'd say yes.

As a side note. Thankyou to yourself and ianpwilliams for the sudden influx of new updates, long may it continue. Shows that I'd like to see pop up in the future are Carries' first show and more from 2004. I just hope there's somebody out there who has them and is willing to release them to the site.

It's a shame there's not more of the 2004 shows out there. I don't know when the Moyles show was first made available through Listen Again, but I know I didn't start archiving them all until May 2005. Storing all the shows would have been a cumbersome task before Listen Again, so I wouldn't get your hopes up of seeing much 2004 shows, certainly not of the numbers of 2005 onwards.

Aled was on the show in 2004 wasn't he? In the 'ask Aled' thread once i remember him saying that he has every show he's worked on so its just getting them off him

He also said that when the show finishes for good, he will hand over all the tapes to this archive. But I suspect he was joking.

I don't see why he can't tbh though. He can just give it to one person who will edit out the music if its the copyright that he is worried about

Well as far as i know Jamie has them all from 2005 onwards

There's a show from 2007 that from a conversation with JK & Joel about WWE (Shocker) turned into a skit over the song that whent I like the way you move. I can't remember exactly when but it must have been between January and August (I was at my previous job at the time).

Here are a few pictures to tidy up your breakfast show collection.

I may be able to help with the 2004. I did start at uploading the very beginning of my collection the week before greyhead left in 2003 but unfortunately time was against me and I've been too busy to continue. I can't promise prompt action, but I can try to get what I have uploaded (have to be megaupload - sorry!) so you can share it here.

Fantastic, we'll take anything here. Not only was I unable to archive the 2004 shows, but I wasn't actually listening to many of them, simply because I was out of work and not up that early in the morning. It was only when I got back to work that I started getting back into the show! So to get to hear the early breakfast stuff would be great. Think they're off for 2 weeks from 8th August, so that would be an ideal way to bridge the gap until their return. No pressure!

There are also people here who would be happy to help transfer materials from whatever source you have - I myself can transfer from cassette or minidisc so am happy to offer my help.

How many do you have and in what format? I'm happy to take them off your hands and it may be just easier to send a DVD of them to me (or Ian if he wants to help) or set up a drop box account as was suggested earlier, although i still don't completely know what it is!

If you need any help u can help as got software and time on my hands. Let me know if need help. I can do cassette ones as got thing to do it

[ianpwilliams]

I'm ok for now, I've got enough to work on with each day's show, and I've still got Sept-Dec 2005 to get through!

I believe all of 2004 and in mp3 edited to remove the music and any non-interesting news (mainly anything that wasn't talked about by Chris and the team either during or directly after). In some cases they may be missing the first 5 mins as when they started starting the show at 6:55, listen again didn't always follow suit (and the show before didn't have it on the end!). I only have them by date though, not by event.

I'd forgotten about dropbox's ability to share files (duh) I'll get hold of my backup drive and start to upload some this evening. Shall I just begin at the start (I know the first show is already there) or just somewhere specific?

The start seems like no better place to begin. Well, the second from start anyway.

Ok you don't need us to do any editing then. I think you should just upload from the start on to archive.org and just do one day or whatever if you have time

[jamiec21]

Multiupload is also another good free file host - uploads simultaneously to 5 or 6 different files hosts, so if one isn't working, you've always got more options.

[mikelomaxxx14]

Right then. Let me know if they don't work, the filenames have spaces in them and have caused issues before with friends... I'll look into archive.org if i get chance.

They seem to work fine. There isn't much point in Archive then is there? Johnny may as well just put these links into the archive

[ianpwilliams]

Are these shows edited?

And I'd like to stay away from Multiupload if possible, because they are a pain with the countdown timers, popup ads etc.

[bmstinton93]

I believe they are yes. And I am not a fan of multiupload either

They're all working good. No hassle from this side of things.
