I am with Virgin, which is now RBS, and they are BRILLLLLIANT, Wife is with First Direct and they are ace, I save with Tesco which is very well done too. I recently opened up some accounts with the Post Office, and they are not very good at all.
At the end of the day, if you have problems with a bank it's normally because YOU have messed up. If a bank selectively paid SO's and DD's for "common sence" reasons, and then you or a creditor said that they were "prefering creditors" they would be in deep shit, not you. If you do not have the funds in the bank, it's your fault, no one elses, calling them twats is probably allot of the reason why you aren't getting help. These people are human beings, and sit and drink coffee and moan about what a rude bunch of * wits these TWATS are who don't keep enough money in their accounts and then winge when they get bounced and charged. Not saying thats right or fair, but they do.
Having said all that, I do understand how hard it is to make ends meet, something which I am very grateful that I do not have to worry all that much about, but I am 100% in control of my finances, don't borrow, save, budget, monitor, ammend, you might say thats lucky, or maybe it's the reason why I don't have issues with Banking.
My big issue at the moment is with Banks and Club Books, Phone companies and sky, how can they give my brother, who is incapicitated with Mental Health issues, 24 month £30 a month contracts, £2500 credit limits and the like when he is on benefits and has absolutley no way of affording them? When you ask to cancel and return the items they then want like £500 a pop to do it. There should be better checks and mental capability checks made IMO.
Either way I hope it all works out for you.
