Not a christmas chutney, but me and the wife made Chili and Crab apple chutney the other day......

I'm really not sure what to make of it yet, it needs to stand for a few weeks though

I dunno about Christmas chutneys but you could make people cranberry sauce or chilli jam or some jars of mince meat.

Nigella did a chilli jam or something in her christmas series on TV it must be in her christmas cookery book if you have it? I plan on buying it this year and perhaps Delias.

Sainsbury's sage and onion is much better than Paxo if you're using packet.

I agree - sage and onion stuffing balls shouldn't be cooked with the meat, they get soggy and fall apart. Do them separately. Pork or sausage based stuffing holds together fine so you can do it inside the bird without it going soggy.

i'm a massive fan of stuffing served separately. if it's made from the packet, the best way is to put it in a loaf tin, then cut it into slices : grill the slices for a minute on each side. good lord i love stuffing.

also, this might be controversial, but aunt bessie's stuffing balls (from the frozen aisle) are incredible.

just booked a 9 day trip to new york with my uni course, to do workshops in various advertising agencies and have fun. i now have £22.40 in my bank account

If that's needed for your course, do you not get some funding for it?

not for postgraduate courses - no funding available if you choose to further yourself beyond the usual expectation.

not that i'm claiming i'd deserve it for this course...
