I listened to the first 15 mins in the car and the commentator said "i can't pick one player out cos they're... all ....so..... bad!"

Shocking performance.

Also to add to my woe regarding Football, Sky announced yesterday that Sky Sports News will be going Pay Per View on Freeview, "ah well I can watch it on their website", I hear you cry, well apparently they are also considering charging to view their website as well. Poor Sky, proof that they desperately need more money to keep afloat, I don't think :x :x :x

Haha, theres a channel on Freeview called 'Gold' which shows classic sitcoms and it's always been locked - theres not even a paywall or suchlike. There'll be no such thing as 'Freeview' if Murdoch has his way.

I interpreted that more as being pissed of that he'd had a shit game and played rubbish. I thought it was more "they've come all this way and all we can do is make them boo". I thought it was a badly phrased comment born of complete frustration. I hope I'm not just looking for excuses for him. Love him or hate him, he's one of the hardest working, most honest and committed footballers in the world and he's being asked to play in a system that stifles so much of what he can do. I don't believe for one minute that he doesn't know exactly what those England fans were feeling - he's probably feeling exactly the same thing himself.

Stay where you are.
I am sure Elmo... no that wouldn't be right.

Enjoy yourself, if you have enough money to survive.

Go to the Library, museums, walk the coast round to Poole and back. Catch up on your washing and ironing so your Mum can't moan you brought it all back for her, check first term subjects next year and go and get the books out you will need, phone around places around your Mums asking for a job for the Summer, plat your hair wet and leave it in overnight so it goes all funny in the morning.....

Well thats what I would do

The countless millions trying to watch the England match on the BBC website - like us. Gah.

Hmm, I didn't know it was on there, but I don't think I have an account with them and it won't let me sign up. The Beeb is shocking, but it must just be down to sheer volume of traffic.

Work, in particular one of my colleagues, unfortunately in our department we have a Mother & Daughter who although don't work together if the Daughter gets in a bit of a pickle the Mother gets involved. I have mentioned on here how I was having a bad time at work due to my workload, now part of that workload was taken away from me & given to a new member of staff, no problem there, I can now manage the work I've got a lot better.

However now the Daughter has still got all her engineers and so the Mother keeps moaning about the unfair balance. Thing is I always offer to help both Mother & Daughter and they always say that they don't need help (not in a nasty way mind in a polite way) and I do offer to cover parts of her Daughters work when she's off, which I do often. However when I'm off no one ever covers my work, unfortunately the work I do is something they never get involved in, have no intention of doing so & so it gets left to pile up.

The annoying thing is that apart from this repeated little issue I get on really well with them, I agree her Daughter has got far too much to do but I just don't like that I keep been bought into the conversation as a comparison. I don't really blame her as our firm has changed the goalposts on how we work for the 25 time this year & it seems as if they want to break up how well we get on in our office, sadly I think they're starting to succeed.

Sorry for my rambling but I do feel rather awkward now & I can see why they normally don't allow relatives to work in the same department.

My work sucks too Johnny, I have a similar situation at work. I’m looking forward to the next few days that I’ve got off but at the same time I’m dreading it because I know that when I get back to work I’ll have loads to do as no-one will cover my work, but I always seem to covering other peoples when they’re off.

Annoying me tho (not work related) is that for the last two days I’ve had “This is the Chris Moyles World Cup song” going round and round in my head. Argh!

Had my bag stolen when I was out last nite. To be fair I'd left it on a chair out of my sight for a few mins, but there were loads of people in my party around - I guess I was naive in thinking that it would be safe. Smartphone, mp3 player, glasses, keys, tram pass, cardigan, sunglasses, makeup - all gone. The only saving grace was that I had my purse in my hands. I can claim on insurance, but argh, it's so annoying and such a giant hassle.

Annoying me today is the England game. I hate England games, especially ones that are s damn crucial as this one. I hate the anxiety, the tension, the anticipation - and I'm not even all that bothered about the outcome, although I'd obviously prefer England to win. Its one of those days when I'd just like to curl up in a corner until its all over.

Also annoying me is that its so hot. Why does everyone like it? its uncomfortable, unpleasant, sticky, sweaty - I like warm weather but this is simply torture. We are supposed to be in a temperate climate here, why all these extremes all of a sudden? I'm a temperate-climate person, I shouldn't have to deal with snow in the winter and boiling temperatures in the summer!

Ahh bugger :( Thankfully no credit/debit cards taken tho!

Annoying me early this morning was someone parking in front of my driveway entrance blocking me in despite there being a Keep Clear marking on the road.

I'm firmly in the 'loving the heat' camp, however on this occasion I can't be selfish and I really wish it would go away because poor Cat is so uncomfortable in it - the baby is apparently gaining half a pound a week now and the weather is not helping.

Tell them. This idea that you have to drop everything because you get a call for jury duty is bollocks. Friend of mine got called and just explained that if she went to jury duty there wouldn't be anyone available to look after her children while she was there, get them to school, pick them up etc. They told her thanks, she didn't need to worry. My mum had exactly the same thing as you, she had a hospital appointment she'd been waiting for ages for - they didn't fuss about it at all, just said thanks, maybe another time then!

My mum did have to go another time though - and she said it was the most boring week of her life. The odds of getting a vaguely interesting case are pretty slim it seems, most people just have to hang around in case they are needed - and then they aren't. I'd do it if I had to, but I hope I don't have to......!

A good friend of mine is 36 weeks gone with Twins. She is huge now. Swollen feet and legs, Eczema all over her bump and arms... I feel for you Cat!

Half a pound a week? I shit that after one meal. People have all this sympathy for pregnant people but us fat bastards put up with it all year round.

Annoying me just now is that I'm concerned about an apparently abandoned seagull chick, which I shouldn't be, because the seagulls round here are pests.

The chick (about half the size- maybe more - of an adult, can't fly yet) has been wondering around our outside bin for the past 24 hours. This is not a wheelie bin - one of those bigger skip-like things that you find round the back of hotels. I live in a courtyard where all the houses share it.

Anyway, I have no idea if the little guy is able to feed himself (would he be dead by now if he wasn't?), or even whether his parents might be around (maybe teaching him to scavenge) and I'm just not seeing them. But as he's a baby and looks alone, I can't help but feel worried for him. I haven't done anything about it as I know you're not supposed to, but it concerns me that a) the bin (which he's sheltering behind whenever a threat approaches) is being emptied tomorrow morning and b) the owners of the house next to it have just returned for the summer, with their enormous Border Collie.

Again, I know there's no point in doing anything, but I hate the idea of finding a mass of feathers and whatever else is left of him tomorrow morning if something happens to him. I just wish I'd never noticed him now. :?

I know where you're coming from, about 5-8 years ago there was a little sparrow in our back garden of which about 20 or so other sparrows kept flying down in our garden to look after it, I won't say anymore than that for now though as you seem rather concerned about this poor little Seagull chick. Have you called the RSPCA.

Annoying me today, gnats, keep getting bit by the *, six times on one hand (why there God, WHY!!!) several times on my arms & now on the part of my ankle where my trainer ends :x Of all the species that have become extinct why was the Mosquito one of them :x
