The old Tories of the 80s and 90s wouldn't have done a deal with the Lib Dems to start with. This is new Tories, a new coalition system which is almost unheard of in the UK... I'm giving it a go. The time to moan about it is if they screw it up. No point moaning about it now, there's nothing you can do about it!

I think this is the best approach. Its harder for some of us to adopt than others, but its the best way to look at it, surely.

Sunshine is making me smile this morning.

Very nice (wouldn't it be easier to have a tinted visor than a normal one and wear sunglasses?)

Your not the first to say it, tinted visors are not road legal (unless also carrying with you a clear visor - bikes having an abundance of storage space :? ) so have never bothered to buy one.... I find this solution to be more than adequate.

I never spend money on myself. Never. I don't enjoy shopping, I'm almost phobic about it. But I might be recovering, I just bought a really lovely Fiorelli bag in the Debenhams sale, and I don't feel sick, I'm not having palpitations, or chast pains, or feeling faint - not at all!

I've started cycling to work lately and my ride is roughly eight miles.. this morning I had my MP3 player, so I was able to listen to the show (I'm on cycle paths, not roads) and I set off as the Cheesy Song started this morning... they took so long to play the first record that I was just getting in the shower the other end of my ride as it started.

I travelled up to Manchester to see him too as he wasn't touring when we got tickets. Once purchased, he then announced o2 dates!

I thought he was ok, but not brilliant. I actually enjoyed Lee Mack a couple of weeks back more than Peter Kay.

Highlight of the night was definitely Rick Astley. Brilliant performance.

Yeah, I was at Peter Kay with the missus on Friday too. One of the most surreal moments of my life was sitting there listening to Rick Astley singing Oasis and Take That songs.

I like the circular nature of it all though. First time I ever saw Peter Kay was a Royal Variety performance (I think) and he was doing the bit about what he heard in songs with his wee tape recorder thing. Sure enough, when I finally got round to seeing him live myself, he did the same bit with the same songs as well as some other newer songs.

To this day, I still refer to it as "The Hot Dogs song from Titanic".

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed Peter Kay, but Dave Gorman is still easily the highlight of the gigs I've been to this year.

Making me smile.

Booked a weekend at the Beech for a surprise for the family and finally booked us tickets to go to the Eden project, even though lived in Cornwall for years never been. Booked a last minute caravan, cheap, even upgraded to "gold" standard, you get a DVD player and only 6 blue bottle flies in the bathroom window sill.

Wicked!

Briefly flicked over to Radio 2 today to catch the traffic report and heard Rick Astley's new song. Having heard in on Friday at the Peter Kay gig... I'm actually liking it?!

The teachers phrases has ruined my friend's auhority now as he's a Teaching Assistant and now laughs whenever him or anyone else says any he used.

I've always found they song lyrics funny. I too had heard some before but my friend hadn't I knew it was Peter Kay originally!

I'd forgoten how many Rick Astley songs I knew until I was there.
