I like Lee Mack - I understand from a friend who's been (I think to the current tour) that it's pretty much the best opening to a comedy gig he's been to.

Now when I saw Lee Mack last month I didn't enjoy it much at all. I always really like him on tv but live I found him to be, just, over-the-top - weird and angry, and not that funny. I wouldn't go again. By contrast, Sean Lock, who I saw a couple weeks ago and was expecting to be quite manic and angry, was very relaxed and likeable, I really enjoyed that.

Christ Church Canterbury University have just made an unconditional offer to Miss Yudster to do a BSc in Adult Nursing. She went there for an interview three weeks ago and absolutely loved the campus and the city, and she decided that even if she didn't get in she'd do another year of 6th form to get better grades and try again - but they want her any old how it seems!

Absolutely brilliant news. Brilliant.

Blimey, when Yudster uses a smiley, you know it's an exceptionally good / bad situation.

Cracking, well done to her.

Congrats to Mini Yuds. Tis always nice to 'ave letters after your name. And big-up to Yuds for rare smiley usage. A proud and beaming mother. Good for you both.

Some moron film reviewer rips off a film review from another website, reads it onto camera, then posts the video on youtube. He gets busted! I love twitter.

The original review: http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=31884

The rip-off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaYfAplbxho

I've never seen such blatant plagiarism...it really is word for word!

As I said on MSN Yuds, this is great news for her. She has obviously put the effort in and now gets the results. To you as well, everytime I talk to you about your kids, it is so apparent how much effort, time and love you dedicate to them and that is reflected in these sorta results. You've raised some good kids Yuds, congratulations.

xx

Well Done Ms Yuds.

That is great news

Mrs Bob is on her last placement, finishing her last essay, being told all appointments are on hold for the forseeable future on a ward that has only 40% of its core nursing posts filled, with a ban on Agency staff also. She is doing the deploma, which is great, as you get a Bursary, but even Plymouth Uni have stopped offering that now.

Keep calm and carry on....................

I think she's hoping that by the time she qualifies the spending cuts might have been at least partially reversed......! She is getting a bursary though, so no tuition fees, woo hoo! Student loan can cover the rest!

Sorry Char, but he was unforgettable. Anyone who actually thought that what he had on his face constituted a moustache is going to stick in the memory.

Brown actually doing the right thing and quitting and Cameron becoming Prime Minster. Good stuff.

Also making me smile today is that i've booked a few days away in Bournemouth in June for my birthday :)

Why do people think DC is going to be a good PM? He is a smarmy c**t and thats the only way to put it! He is conservative so his job will be to tax everyone, but it wont be done proportionally. The rich will get richer and the poor will be made suffer. The poor being about 95% of the population in there eyes. I hope it all * up soon.

Excellent Possitive view there me ducks.

Basic point, the conservatives don't tax, they cut spending and taxes, and bring government to a local level.

Labour, Tax and spend money wastefully supporting a huge Public sector wage and investment bill.

He is smarmy though, but them anyone stood next to Letwin & Hague is going to.

I'm not sure what I think yet about Cameron becoming PM. I'll reserve judgement for a while. Some people I know are talking about the Conservatives being back in power as if it's the apocalypse tho, that's quite tiresome. I guess a lot of them just have miners' strikes or poll tax riots as their earliest memories of political decisions in action, and so that's what they associate with a Tory government. But history doesn't necessarily repeat itself. People who remember Labour's stint in power in the late 70s used to talk about three-day weeks and binbags in the streets, and that didn't happen when they came back in...

It'll all come out in the wash. Personally, I'm hoping this Lib Dem power sharing may pave the way for a brighter future for the party, but we'll see. At least the con's havn't got a full and complete say in things, I really hope this works out well for us all.
