Nah can't afford Sky. I bought a couple of the DVD's as I was bored, it's great though you have Bob Cryer, June Ackland, Tosh Lines, Frank Burnside, Reg Hollis, Tony Stamp, Ted Roach. It's bought back a lot of memories :)

Topher proposed to me today outside The Fat Duck! He has also surprised me by booking us a table for 2 at The Fat Duck tomorrow evening for the full tasting menu. :D Incredible.

I'm just glad I can talk about it now - I've been keeping secrets since last September!

I very nearly let the Cat out the bag about the Fat Duck on Friday! Me and Toph had to frantically post in the chat room to cover it up!

It's been rather exhausting for me too, I have to say.

Part of me wishes I'd waited till we were eating to ask, but once she realised that it was so close to where we are, there was no stopping her from visiting really - I used the opportunity to pop the question at least outside the restaurant and then break the news that we would be eating there the following day (I had a feeling that once we got in there, she would guess I'd propose anyway, so the bonus was that it was still a surprise). Still, if I hadn't done that, we wouldn't have gone into the Hind's Head, which is the pub that Mr Blumenthal runs across the road and got chatting to the bar staff there, who were lovely. They found out that unfortunately Heston is filming all week, but we are leaving Cat's Big Fat Duck cookbook with them so that he can sign it. We'll get a better picture of the ring on soon enough.
