I think it's time Car Park Catchphrase was finally retired as it now getting so repetitive and it should be replaced with The Golden Hour every day as opposed to just on Fridays. The Golden Hour is an institution and it should have carried on after Simon Mayo left even though it was known as The Mystery Years in his later days. Good idea for the show.

Car Park catch phrase is also an institution and is not repitive as Roys vocabulary keeps improving and IMHO should not be replaced. The golden hour is just lazy radio, (as are Scott Mills the wonder years which are not so wonderful) and is what most local radio stations play everyday anyway.(So if you want to listen to "classics" listen to commercial FM!) I don't mind the Golden Hour being on on a friday as it does make a change. but CPC sould defo stay Monday to Thursday.

I think the golden hour is good, its a bit crappy when its just song song song being played out but Chris involves the team and gets a good bit of banter going, makes a good change as sometimes the last 45 minutes of the show dies on its arse.

CPC should not be replaced. Its still the highlight of my day. And CPC is only good because of Roy Walker, not because of the competition at all... and as long as there are new Roy clips, there will always be room for CPC in my opinion.

No, they play an hour of their choices, usually in a theme such as music from acts playing Reading/Leeds like they did yesterday.

I think the BIGGEST feature would be tedious link, then Rumble, then CPC.

The golden hour is good once a week but Chris wouldn't do it every day..

To play records non stop for an hour is just not his style.

i hate the golden hour. thats what i hate bout local radio as well as a thousand other things but still...
i just turn off at 9am on a friday now cos its just laziness, a lot like your call on scott mills which just ruins his show as i turn off for that as well and rarely tune in aftter 6pm.
as for cpc, i think it should be replaced but only with a similar idea with callers and such. but it has to be better, otherwise, cpc should stay.
