The news today. Clearly everything is cool in the world as there's absolutely no other news other than the death of Michael Jackson. Hurrah! Iran is peaceful and democratic! The recession is over!

Don't be silly. The situation in Iran and the recession haven't changed. Therefore they are not "new"s. The Michael Jackson stuff is though. This time yesterday it hadn't happened - that's REAL news. And more to the point, when we all stop talking about MJ, Iran and the recession will still be there............

Glastonbury weekend. Haven't been for a few years but have some great memories from there, and I always enjoy watching the coverage. It's probably my favourite two weeks of the year, Wimbledon with Glasto sandwiched in between. It's also the BBC at it's best - they take some real stick, and sometimes justifiably, but they always cover these two events really well.

Have to agree with you there Ed, all of those that swipe at the BBC's bad bits forget how much great stuff they do.

Making me smile today, the second (and only other) Capital FM show I have of Moyles' has proven my reservations completely wrong. For some reason I though it was rubbish but listening back to it, it's being fascinating to hear how much Chris has grown in style, presenting wise & the show itself has some nice moments (especially the Chris Tarrant Jingles, specially created for the Chris Moyles Show, with Chris' poor impression of Tarrant that sounds nothing like his current impression) although it is odd hearing presenting without a team to interact with.

Not really, just pointing out the obvious for those who can't see it.

Buy a lottery ticket. Or a charlalottery ticket.

Will you be working for Turner's, or is that just a random photo of the type of lorry you'll be driving?

If the MD is still a guy called Paul Day, he used to be the England number one in table tennis.

No idea mate, the guy who interviewed me and took me out was a guy named Des, think he's the Transport Manager of the Essex side of things
