Well rather than "just always assuming" perhaps you should actually do a bit of research.

Kinda of related, but has anyone seen the TV advert for Valkyrie yet? Talk about dumbing it all down for a 20 sec advert - the voice over man say's something abut the war being 'Started by the most evil man on the planet', then cut to Tom Cruise who say's, in his american accent "We must kill Hitler"... and that's it.
That irritated the * out of me last night.

Pissed much?

Pissed as in angry? Yes, livid. Pissed as in drinking? No. I haven't the excuse of liquor. That was just appallingly awful typing brought about from a very frustrating conversation.

Nope. Though I did have a beer on Friday night when I heard about the accident. Other than that, I don't drink. Beer was making me chubby!

The tube going on strike tomorrow :x

I refuse to take two days off of work just because the RMT & TfL have had a bit of a disagreement. I'd rather be late for work than do that & thankfully my boss is fine with this.

How far is work? Not walking distance?

Er Topher - London is HUGE - most of the bits where people actually live are MILES from where they need to work......bumpkin!

I know, I worked there for a year... although in fairness, I was walking distance from Euston, I worked in New Oxford Street.

The next couple of days are essentially a right off for commuters. Buses will be stretched to bursting, and even if you can walk to work, it looks like it'll be peeing down!

Only commuters who use the tube though. Thankfully Mr Yudster doesn't.

Yeah, what about those red things the streets are full of? Don't they do the same thing?

That's a police box and it's blue... I'm not even a Dr Who fan and I know that!

When I lived in France the guy I was working for wanted to put a red phone box in the entrance hall to his company. As the English speaker I was made to ring round and try and source one. It's surprisingly easy, if you're prepared to pay for it.

I live in Ilford, my work is in Debden, it takes an hour to get to work via two buses & two trains because that part of the Central Line is a bloody stupid loop in which it's quicker to go from Gants Hill to Leytonstone than from Gants Hill to Woodford :x

I've spoken to my boss & I've been allowed to work through my lunch so that I can leave at 4pm so as to avoid every other * at 5pm.

I wouldn't mind but they wanted a 5% pay rise for LESS hours, how does that work. Also a guarantee that there would be no "compulsory redundancies". Now I don't wish anyone out of their job, etc. but considering cuts happening in every other job & in some cases no payrises at all, I kind of feel more annoyed at the RMT than Tfl
