No its not. People will eat all sorts of rubbish if they think its the fashionable thing to do, just like they'll wear any sort of crap if it has the right label in it. Its no different.

Careful, Yuds. You'll sound like my sister and the sauteed spinach/capers evening. And aubergine/eggplant is nauseatingly slimy. Mushrooms are fungus - even the smell of them makes me want to vomit. Ugh.

And no Stilton! BLEGH. Goat's cheese is alright. Not my favoUrite. I'd rather have a nice cheddar or whatever that one I sent you the pic of that time was, Tofu. Remember? It was like a mosaic and had Guinness in it? That was wicked.

Extra mature cheddar can be gorgeous.

Its good to have an open mind about food. Goats cheese however isn't food. And the emergence of restaurants and chefs into the celebrity circuit means that there really are an awful lot of people out there just raving about what they think they should rave about, rather than thinking about it for themselves and occasionally admitting that the idea, let alone the experience, of eating something called Ziggurat of Lambs Tongues which looks like a scene from an abbatoir and smells like it too, is actually unpleasant. For example.

I didn't mean it. I just can't bear it, taste or smell. That's your challenge when you open your place - make something with goats cheese that I will like. Bet you can.

I wouldn't say that's everyone, just a small group of people who desperately try to impress others whilst neglecting to enjoy life themselves. I like to think most people eat/drink/wear what they like. Trends may introduce people to new things, but they can still be individual.

Stilton is the greatest cheese ever, especially on toast :D

Very true Yuds. When tea was first imported back into the UK, there was an affluent family in Scotland that heard it was all the rage so they ended up putting the leaves on salmon and choking it down, even though they hated it just because it was fashionable.

No, Johnny. It isn't. You're mistaken. Blegh. Although, I did have a gorgeous lemon stilton one time. I only like that because it didn't have that same funky taste the rest of them do. I believe it is well documented on here that I don't do blue cheese either. *retch*

My parents have Goat's milk because they don't react well to the normal stuff. Is that just as bad as Goat's cheese? I can't tell the difference. Same goes for the butter.

 Oh well different pallets & all that, I do love Marmite so that will probably explain why I like blue cheese :D

MARMITE?! It's official. I could never eat a meal with you. You'd be sat there with your Stilton, Marmite and blue cheese (no doubt all mixed together and poured over sauteed mushrooms) and I'd be vomiting.

No, no, no. Marmite goes on toast or with Dairylea in a sandwich

Sauteed Mushrooms have garlic sauce

Stilton/Other blue cheeses on crackers or in french bread, not really on toast TBH.

I can eat less disgusting things though, like, erm, Lamb Tikka Masala & Cod Roe and Chips

Whilst I am chuffed for England with what seems like an impressive rugby display today, it does not bode well for us next weekend for the Calcutta Cup.

You need to stop. Too. Much. Information.
