My Mop head has picked up wood shavings from the Rabbit hutch and they won't come off, that is annoying me today, and my hair if frizzy, and I went for a run and a swim, and got attacked by a loud person who lives by me and I have a new brush which only cost me £2 and I bought some hair spray for dry frizzy dried out post menopausal women which is really cool :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O , I've PM's everyone and no-one replied to my thread about Hallowean being a real side kick event, and witches are real and that, and my ankle really hurts, and I have my period, and that, and :D :D :D :D :D I am happy, no I am sad, I am really angry and sad, and happy and that :D :D :D .

I have never understood why people get annoyed at having to pay tax on taxable income. Its a fact of life. I had to pay tax on a decent chunk of my redundancy money but its just the way it is.

Oh it's not the having to pay tax that annoys me, if the pay slip had said net bonus rather than gross, it would have been less upsetting!

I see what you mean. It does kind of rub your nose in it a bit when they tell you what you don't have rather than just telling you what you DO have......

What about phones bought on Ebay?

I think the mobile phone black market is about to go through the roof!

Oh they'll stop you topping up your credit if you're not registered. Of course if the phone's already in someone else's name then there's nothing stopping you plotting to ram a boat laden with explosives into London bridge as it'll be in the other fella's name.

Well, why not?

Who cares if you are on a register for a phone ? Surely in a society where we try to protect people, making it hard to hide your identity is not a bad thing,is it ?

For those who are legitimate it would have no effect on them what so ever.

That's all, no big deal I would have thought. It will pose a problem for writers of the spy type movies and shows though.

Ah, the old "if you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear" argument. Of course making it hard to hide your identity is a bad thing, we're entitled to privacy and this government seems intent on monitoring our every move and using the public's fear of terrorism to help them along. Why should the government know who owns every phone? The whole idea's unworkable anyway - what's to stop all the millions of terrorists from buying sim cards in other, less restrictive states where there's no such registration and using them over here?

Of course it is, like hundreds of other things which get thought of, reported and then never heard of again. Why are you getting so bent out of shape about something that's clearly, as you said, unworkable?

Ah the old " if it looks hard lets not bother" argument. You have to try to stop people blowing up your friends and family, no it isn't easy and you could buy SIM's from else where, but then you could block them.

There was a time when they said you would not stop file sharing on the internet, it will not be long and they will stop it.

The idea that it's unworkable, don't let it worry your pretty little head is laughable.

From Tooting times, this idea that the Government is all bad, and out to "get" us, by Taxing us 40% on a Christmas bonus ( which indicates that you are earning over £45k a year basic) just to spend it all on daft "Big Bruvva" stuff is also naive and immature, it also smacks of copy cat opinions not based on your own endeavors to develop ideas and attitudes based on your own thoughts and experiences. (Are you Markool?)

Don't get me wrong, there are things which are wrong, but the ideal of government to serve and protect is a real one and one that is too easily dismissed by immature "revolutionaries" who poo poo all ideas without being able to offer any credible alternatives.

Seeing as markool has openly expressed racist opinions on here, comparing me to him is frankly insulting.

And if you're happy for the government, with its record on keeping data and information secure, to keep a large database detailing who you've called and emailed then good for you. I find the fact that the government even consider this worrying in the extreme.

Sorry I didn't mean to tar you with the racist brush, purely the forming your own opinions one. Sorry if you inferred an insult which wasn't meant, you are not racist, evidently, just a bit of a tosser.

Are you happy to keep your money in a bank, with there record on keeping it safe, keep your pension in an investment firm, or on the stock market, with there record ? Are you happy to shop at M&S with there record on child abuse ? No, or yes, or you have to trust someone, and you can't believe everything you read in the press, and at the end of the day you have to make up your own mind ?

Oh, and you are not quite so Bolshevik now your Mum's gone to Bed. (Yuds that is )

You're deliberately missing the point I'm trying to make in your desperate attempt to make me out as some kind of Wolfie Smith character. Your drawing a parallel with government and private companies is risible, they're totally different things but yes, it does come down to trust and time and again this administration has proved that it's clearly not worthy of it.

How does knowing who owns a mobile phone make any difference to this media driven "War On Terror"?

"Yes. We had a file on the guy who blew up Heathrow Airport. He owned a mobile!"

What about people who come into the country carrying mobiles?

* sake. The terrorists must be quaking in their boots. "Register... my mobile?? Where? The Post Office?! NOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT THE POST OFFICE!"*

*this is based on a Billy Connolly gag
