Your argument relies on the premise that all internet sellers would fix the price, and ignores that Supermarkets now account for allot of non food sales, and the internet, as home shopping is not new, I think Littlewoods have been making a fortune out of it for over 100 years.

Indeed and that is why the high street will not die, it may change, but it will not die. Rents may go down and then other things which might be more interesting may appear, who knows. Buy stuff where you want when you want, that the choice we have, and the choice retailers have in making money by working out that.

The gf is down until Wednesday doing a mini-pupilage just across the road from where I work, so we travelled in together this morning - was really nice having her on my morning commute (even though we just sat next to each other for 50 minutes with occasional chatter and naps). Its been going on for about 6 months. I was put into a hugely senior role, but due to HR red tape they couldn't put through the pay rise. It has finally gone through...and maybe it was due to the fact that certain parts of my role are specialist expertise...and only I can do it
