I agree she looks terrible, but since when did nightclub doormen become the arbiters of age-appropriate clothing? I say if she wants to walk around looking like a hooker, let her.

Anyway. Just back from the tattooists. Bloody hell, two and a half hours is a long time to sit. I was really ready to pack it in after two hours. Stuck it out though, and it looks amazing now.

I think the point is that they don't want people dressed like that in their establishment. She's free to walk around like that, but they object to her presence on their commercial property - which they are entitled to do

Yeah, they are. It does make me wonder what exactly their dress codes say, though. Where do you draw the line with 'too tarty' or 'too young for the wearer'?

I guess it's a matter of personal discretion on the bouncer's behalf (annoyingly I've written an essay based on this), and this snippet explains why bouncers are better off making snap judgements about people -

Get ready to duck wrote:A complex understanding of the environment and culture quickly follows [becoming a bouncer]. Vague tactics and rules slowly began to reveal themselves as the bouncers negotiated a succession of highly diverse problems. The seemingly hectic and off-the-cuff work of bouncers did indeed have some underlying method. For instance, decisions regarding who got in and who got turned away from the door of a pub or club often had a good deal of rational foundation. Wearing your Sunday best informed the bouncers that you were less likely to get in a fight and so damage your attire. Jeans and trainers were fighting clothes and more likely to be worn when out with a large group of male friends. It also indicated on occasion that men had been out drinking all day in local pubs that would allow them to get away with such clothes—all bad signs for the finely attuned senses of a good bouncer. They’d also on occasion turn away skinheads, men with large visible tattoos, black eyes, scar tissue and so on. To the bouncers they were signs that violence might well be a focal concern of the man trying to gain admittance to the bar.

I guess here, the woman's clothing and behavior has led the bouncers/management to rule that she qualifies as an undesirable. It's unlikely to be just her clothes which have led to her being banned - her attire would suggest that her conduct wouldn't be altogether ladylike.

To be fair, that was my first thought.... "She looks like she could kick off any time!"

I still think, totally regardless of fashion and designer this, that and the other - the one thing a woman can wear to make her look 'good' (or attractive, sexy, pretty - choose your accolade) is a smile.

But its her face that tells you that, not her clothes. And whoever said it was probably because she has bad teeth - well, she could afford that ludicrous boob-job, you'd think she could fix her teeth.

Back now, happy boy!

I was right about Murray as well! (Although given he was beaten by the world #1 it's not a clever prediction)

So, still making me smile is having a dirty bitch for a wife! ( although she won't do that!)

He was on phenomenal form though. I don't think I've ever seen him play that well and he came very close to beating him.

But given that in the second and third game Djokovic looked out on his feet with exhaustion, his legs had almost gone - Murray should have beaten him, and the fact that an exhausted Djokovic is still good enough to claw it back from Murray playing at his absolute best speaks volumes as to the gulf in real quality between them.

Oh we know that. I saw someone earlier say that he is possibly the best ever player to have never won a grand slam. It just happens that potentially the best British tennis player ever is playing the sport at the same time as 3 gods.

I'm unconvinced that he would do any better if the top three were of a lower standard. Its as much his approach to the game and his response to losing that is his problem, rather than his opponents. He would still be the runner up at best, an also ran more often, whatever the level of the top three. Well I think so anyway.

That is true, but Federer is not what he was a couple of years ago. Murray just needs to sort out the mental side of things. Look at the way he caved in in the final last year and the way he pretty much gave up at Wimbledon last year.

I didn't see all of the match today, but Murray can match Djokovic shot for shot, but mentally he is far too fragile. Until he sorts that, nothing will change.

Murray has the ability, he just doesn't have the brain.

The point of this post is to a) show me off on top of an alp, 2) to celebrate my 4th potential return to semi regular posting, but mainly iii) to see how this mobile app copes with uploading photos to a post...
