The reason said "shinanigens" wasn't finished was because we were oblivious to the alarm (must have been the throws of passion) and we only really realised what was going on when the fireman was knocking on the door telling us to leave.

The conversation went something like this (roughly)

Fireman - "is anybody in there, this is the fire department."

Me/girl - "yes"

Fireman - "you're going to have to get up and leave the building now"

Me - "Really? Do we have to? Isn't it a drill?"

Fireman - "Mate there is a real fire down stairs if you don't want your balls singed I suggest you leave now, before I come in and get you both"

Got called out once at boarding school at 3 in the morning, stood in the playground, while the firemen went in and enjoyed our facilities, we were left in the sodden rain, they were safe and sound investgating an aerosol can incident in the boys bedroom.

There may have been a few fisticuffs, between the duty staff and the offending peasant

my old job use to get fire drills about 5 mins to the end of our shift.

Me and a few others got sick of this so went to our lockers got our stuf and wiated til they said ok and just clocked out and went home.

When we were pulled up in the ofice for it we said it was unfair that we have to wait extra on our shift all the time while the others just waited and wasted time. Still did'nt stop them or us from doing what we did.

Whenever out fire alarm goes off, it's normally because one of the warehouse guys has put their forklift through a beam that sets the alarm off.

Nice use of the phrase vinegar strokes.

Try and get that phrase into your next work meeting, or next company wide e-mail. Now that's a challenge.

I once got 'wibble' and 'beef curtains' into a conference call.

I once got "chocking the chicken" into a meeting at work.

I waited til it started, walked in about 5 mins late, and said

"sorry I'm late, I was just chocking the chicken and it took longer than I thought".

"Sorry I was late Boss, I caught sight of your missus on my way into work and had to dive into a bush for some erotic self sbuse"

I make a range of vinegars called "Suzzanes" they are lovely, and originated from the Grandmother of the lady Suzzane, her grandmother was also famous for inventing Wine Gums.

So it's easy to get vinegar stroke into most meetings, ie we need to look at the labour timings for filling vinegar stroke oil into decorative bottles etc.

My favorite line ( is there meant to be a U in that ?) is simply replying excrement to any suggestions in a happy voice, and just carrying on, simple things !
