The stream just died for a few seconds, but Streamwriter retried and restarted the recording, so only a few seconds lost.

It's dying on the Radio X site as well. The app is also dying. Too much demand, I'm guessing.

OK downloading the mp3's now, then I'll start editing.

Do you think it would be worth recording the show from Sky going forward? Because I could do that. But I don't know if it would record it as video and then I would have to extract the audio, or whether it could record as mp3 or similar. Anyone tried it?

I've done it before, you have to record it as a manual recording and I think its audio+video. Either way there's no easy way to extract Sky+ recorded data, you'd need to record it via Audio Out or Optical out in realtime, eg 3.5 hours!
