I think its necessary and justified to have a driver for your breakfast show host considering the times he has to get up!

Its not as if he's actually going to use public transport at that time. The least the BBC could do is offer him some form of transport to get him to work, on time.

The BBC have a contract using a fleet of cars - its not as if the car is for his personal use only..

I'm sure about any other DJs that work for R1, but I understand Jo Whiley gets the train to the studios each day. Having said that - she lives in Northampton.

JK drives himself into work but Joel gets a car sent for him (He doesn't actually have a car of his own anyway )
