The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Sorry to any Colin fans but I *REALLY* hate that guy.

He's just so bloody annoying and he waffles on about complete crap like it should mean something to us because he's saying it.

If I was Edith (hmmmmmm Edith.... Sorry) I'd have bludgeoned him to death with the microphone by now (that would be entertaining radio.... listening to the repetative dull thud as he tries to tell us about men in pink shirts).

Am I the only one??????

I didn't use to like Colin, but don't find him too bad now.

Not really, just seeing what the general concencus is. I really find Colin very irritating and yes, Oliver, when his show comes on (and Jo W's in fact) i switch my iPod on instead (thank god for podcasts)

But as someone who helps fund the BBC it bothers me that from 10am to 4pm there's nothing worth listening too.

I accept you can't please everybody, I just wanted to know if I was the only one that disliked him with a passion.

The bbc are paying him a lot of money and i know lots of people that dont like him. Personally now i like the show. I listen on tuesdays from 1 but most other days from 3 and he is entertaining in a strange way but i know what you mean.

I hate Murray, so don't listen.

I rarely listen to Radio 1 now to be honest. Moyles, Zane Lowe and Lamacq and that's about it.

I cant stand him either, he is not funny and just loves himself, he has also ruined fighting talk on 5 live.

Whats wrong with Murray? He ain't so good on his own, but both Colin and Edith are zongzillions well better than anyone on at the weekend.

Murray's o.k. he works well with edith, but like someone else said, on his own he struggles. Though his rant about that arrogant tosser James Blunt was spot on!

Although I'll agree with matt_32510 that he's ruined fighting talk.

I'm not their biggest fan either. I used to love Mark and Lard, Bring them back or maybe once a week have a show called Mark & Lard Gold, the best bits from their time at Radio 1

For a start, he shouts all the time and has a annoying voice.

I was thinking about that some time ago. They could podcast it.

People should already be doing that to Alan Green.

I don't know whether it's restrictions imposed from above, but Colin and Edith simply don't seem to have anything to say. Occasionally there'll be a flicker of chemistry, or one of them will say something vaguely non-bland and demographic-driven, but so much of it is either sport (a soft battleground), sexless sexuality, humourless references to The A-Team or Max And Cun*ting Paddy, or how amayyzing Snow Patrol were last night.

The thing about Chris Moyles is that he understands subtext. He knows the programme only exists as what's broadcast, which is why there was a brilliant irony when he used to keep telling off-air jokes and transmitting silence. On a good day, a lot of his words are appreciable on more than one level, and he knows it. Colin and Edith just seem to burble throwaway verbiage into the polystyrene cups of busy small-industry.

It's sad, because I've known Colin to be edgy and inventive. He's supposed to be an Indie Kid with a cauldron of bile to retch over all our preconceptions and false idols. Maybe it's the playlist's fault. Perhaps if he was allowed to play Magnetic Fields records he'd loosen up and begin to engage a little more. In any case, I'm sure it's the fault of over-keen demographic targeting.

At least they don't do Big Brother.

Colin Murray is part of the reason i listen to Local Radio.

He is quite boring.

Would like to see Trevor, Q-Ball and Rozz from Horizon 103.3 do his show as they are great dj's and are very funny :D

I have to say that i love Colin. He gets so easily wound up. It's so funny when he starts just ranting about something trivial. The Gay Disco was superb, though, eh? If you listen to their show, there's loads of long-running things like that.

Only person I hate is Tim Westwood. That man is NOT black, NOR is he a gangster. No matter what he thinks in his crazy foo head. Zane's show bores me slightly "X is on Board!..Y from Z, you're on board! " (repeat ad infinitum)... But he does play good music.

Ha just noticed you're from Towcester... They're not funny though. I'm in Potterspury at the moment.

Tue and Wed are up
