SUNDAY tea-time favourite Bullseye is coming back.
And the new series will be filmed at Yorkshire Television studios in Leeds.
Possible presenters lined up for the game show role vacated 11 years ago by Jim Bowen include Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, Leeds legend Sir Jimmy Savile and Bolton comedian Peter Kay.
An announcement is expected imminently and filming starts at the end of March.
British Darts Organisation chief executive Olly Croft said it was "great news for darts".
And Jim Bowen himself added his support. He said: "My time on Bullseye was one of the best times of my life. I wish the production team and the new presenter my blessings."
Entertainment channel Challenge has secured the rights to the show. It says they will keep many of the original elements such as the revolving board, the character of Bully, Tony Green the scorer, and the tankard prizes.
Thrilled
The new series will feature top darts players and celebrity guests.
Jonathan Webb, director of Programming for Challenge said: "Bullseye is totally cult and we predict a huge resurgence in darts this year."
Andrew Wood, the show's creator, said: "This is great news for the millions of Bullseye fans out there. As the creator and deviser I am absolutely thrilled. This new series will be awesome."
Bullseye first went out in 1981 and had 15 million viewers at its peak.

Moyles doesn't suit it and won't take it.

I thought it was going to be on ITV and Ant and Dec were doing it.

It will be ITV if it's produced by Yorkshire TV. I presumed Peter Kay was still doing it.

Of all the gameshows they could bring back, they choose this one?!?!?!

Never mind, as long as it has a decent host and some proper celebrity darts players, well ok there's only one, then it shouldn't be too painful viewing.
