You're stupid for not using Windows anyway. Let them suffer I say.

Yup, if you're not paying for the real deal you shouldn't be allowed such luxuries :P

BTW - Was there supposed to be something exciting today, all I got was something about the Mills team

Dear god no. Teletubbie mode I call it. Anyhow, you can't complain about the lack of compatability when you choose not to use Windows.

I wasn't complaining, just enquiring about the possibility of them thinking about the option of maybe adding support for other OS's, although as it is Chris and I have done something about it ourselves, so the point is now mu.

I would if the price was lower... it's not like microsoft can't afford to, if the music companies can (kinda... legal downloading is cheap enough now in my book... cheaper than CDs anyway), they can, even with all the money Gates gives to charity.

also another solution is to partition the hard drive and have dual boot to be able to select OS (I think this needs a compatible MotherBoard though?). This also works with multiple hard drives I believe, eliminating the need for partitioning.

From the main page:

With some fantastic help from message-board regular Console, we're pleased to announce the first release of 'webMini-Moyles.

BBC Online offer the rather super Mini-Moyles desktop DJ, who sits calmly on your desktop providing you with information about the show, as well as music and entertainment news. The only problem was that this wasn't accessible to those who don't use Windows machines, or those who are unable to install software on their systems (for example, on work machines).

The chrismoyles.net web-based Mini-Moyles service provides the same information as the desktop download and is straightforward to use. Simply click the new 'launch' button on the main chrismoyles.net page to open a small window which holds the latest updates from the desktop DJ. Clicking on the links will open the daily news items, or allow you to view archived messages.

The current release of the webMini-Moyles is version 0.1. This is still in test, so we would very much welcome your feedback in this thread.

Features Coming Soon:

* Full implementation of the voting functionality, allowing you to cast votes in Mini Moyles polls
* An alert system to get your attention when a new Mini Moyles message is posted

I don't think so.

Good work with the 'web-mini-moyles' guys. How did you do it if you don't mind me asking?

I couldn't remember whether it was the motherboard or the hard drives that needed to be Dual Boot compatible... I thought it may be possible that both need to be compatible.

It would be the motherboard, but you'd have to have a very old motherboard for it not to support it. Linux can support dual boot with GRUB, even if the motherboard doesn't support it.

What browser are you using?
Also, have you got JavaScript turned on, and if so are you getting any JavaScript errors?

Why? Of all the browsers, you chose IE. Oh well, are there any JS errors?

I ain't technical. You'll have to explain to me what that means.

From my limited experiance with MacIE, you can goto View -> Java Errors and I think it should give you the Javascript errors, if you could copy any that are there and PM them to me that would be great.

MC, I think I know what the problem is, one of the technolgies used in web-MiniMoyles is broken/crap in MacIE. I'll have to make a workaround and get back to you. For now though, most other browsers seem to work fine.

Aled,

Will you include any special recipies for cheese and pickle lovers? Maybe Longman could help and you could create a whole new side of the show based on cheese and pickle?

Think you are great!

I'm working on the alert (as well as compatibility issues) as we speak, but the poll should be up a little after the next poll comes up on the Original Mini-Moyles (as we need some info off of it first).

BTW Chris (Harris) is the other party involved.
