Gervais' intro was funny too....

"We've just had a conference call with Tony Blair and George Bush, they have agreed to not double, but quadruple aid to africa.... which means the show's over.... "

Genius

and now Peter Kay's on :D

Uglybob wrote:1. yes both albums did go to number 1, blurs was released in september and sank down the chart whilst oasis went into number 1 in october and stayed there for a long while and still appeared in the top 10 a year later whilst blurs album was consigned to the bargain bin
2. blurs best album was parklife, it goes without saying, modern life is rubbish was a step in the right direction after the stone roses esque leisure but modern wasnt a patch on parklife.
3. coxon and albarn were blur, not the other two numpties, you get rid of one and no wonder they arent as good.

I'm not arguing with you about The Great Escape, with the exception of four or five tracks, the rest is poor filler.

Blur's best album, in my opinion is Modern life is Rubbish (along with the Popscene single around the same time). It's then followed by Blur and then Parklife, followed by Think Tank.

Oasis are far more popular than Blur but that's beacuse they're about as mainstream as you could possibly get. Kids and Grown ups love them so.

Yess The Who at last.... this is one of the big acts I've been waiting for, along with the Coldplay and Richard Ashcroft collaboration which came really early on in the show.

Thought that interview with George Michael was gonna be over this song for a moment there when Kay was on doing that intro.

I actually cringed through most of Peter Kay on stage.

The only funny bit was welcoming on the Spice Girls.

Gervais is class.

gervais fell on his arse on stage too... "do the dance" f*ck off.

Robbie Williams was the only one to get the whole crowd into it.

fern cotton rant part 5 of 1002

she's with rossy and the whiley, there talking about when maddona was asked which person she was excited to meet backstage and she replied 'ricky gervais'.

What was the cotton spinners reaction '..well i'm quite interesting'.

you complete, idiotic up sl*g. The world does not revolve around you. Which is a shame because id quite gladly see you set up residence on the sun.

Honestly, do you realise your position in the world of celebrity? I don't think you do.

I think she may think she's better than she is, at least in part due to Robbie Williams trying to chat her up earlier in the day on live tv.
