I think that's part of the reason I watched some of the cricket - it wasn't football. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching the odd game but football is over-exposed (as I am sure I have said before).

im not sure if football would be the most popular sport in the world. its very popular in europe and south america, but other sports like baseball and basket ball are big in usa and asia. cricket is a big sport in a lot of places as well.
