PURE AND UTTER DRIVEL.

Yes folks, a prime time show on BBC radio all came down to playing a really heavy base noise, that wasn't even funny and fell flat on its arse. Typical Scott Mills show

Don't despair though pop pickers:

The good thing to come out of all this, is that even the Mr Mills die hard fans thought "oh my God, Flame was so right", "this really does suck!"

Licence payers money spent on a sausage jock. It's only a matter of time before they pull the plug. I know.

Mills never will be like Moyles, their styles are too different. It depends on personal taste as to who you prefer I think.

If you prefer your well produced and prepared, slick, music based entertainment show then Scott is your man. He has, and I think, always will be like that. He sticks to the music schedule, plays the records he is told to and doesn't usually have a bad word to say against them. He is essentially an excellent commercial radio DJ.

Daytime Radio 1 is a good mix I think - you have your music DJ's like Jo Whiley and previously Mark and Lard (the ones who would never make it on commercial radio), your personality DJ like Moyles, and your slick music DJ's like Mills.

I think its the weekends where Radio 1 struggle. In the old days I used to listen a lot, e.g Mark Goodier and Moyles on Saturdays - but now who is there to pick from?

Vernon, Coxy or Spoony. No thanks.
