Yea maybe but I thought they could of come up with something diffrent,maybe even something new rather than being a "clone" of Hit40UK etc

there's only two options for the show,

1. keep the 40 run down format
2. adopt a more magazine approach which is working well for commercial stations

downloading music has given liberties to the punter, who now have more scope to experiment with different types of music from past and present. Therefore the hyperbole of the singles chart is really not reflecting what music people are activly downloading and listening too.

Plus are current soundbyte culture is not reflected in the previous straight 40-1 rundown of the single charts. Most people are only concerned with the top 10 singles of the week so mixing this with other entertainment elements in a gossip style is really going to help push listening figures.
