I worked in London for a year and I never saw anyone famous. Apparently someone saw Phil Jupitus outside where I worked once though.
However, if you're outside a BBC building the likelyhood of spotting anyone must be heightened. Not that I'd be that bothered (about many people) anyway.
It's luck more than anything, I have seen Paul Whitehouse outside a shop that sold Leather jackets 2-3 years ago on Oxford Street (it has since shut down) and 3 weeks ago Frank Skinner was wandering through Covent Garden with a look on his face that said "I hope no one recognises me"

I didn't go up and say hello to either mainly as I personally believe that when celebs are doing their own thing they should be left to do their own thing
