The show is still the funiest show on the radio, and I thoroughly enjoy it whenever I get chance to listen - I don't think any of these things are in question.
However, I also think that Chris is spending much more time recently talking about how great he is, rather than continuing to focus on the humour which has made the show what it is.
Furthermore, Chris has been heard to say that he's the best thing that's happened to Radio 1, and everyone is to write in and say how great he is - but I don't listen just to hear Chris - the show is so funny because of the whole team and the chemistry within it - not just Chris - and he should be much more public about the fact that the team make it the best show on the radio, not just him.
I listen to Steve Wright in the afternoon too - a very similar format of show to Chris' - and Steve always involves his whole team, and claims that it is them and the listeners that make the show, not him - he has stood the test of time much longer than most.
So, my summary - Chris, it's still the finest show on the radio, but stop thinking it's only you that makes it so special, it's the whole possey. Don't fall into the same trap as so many DJ's before you, who reach such a level of popularity that they forgot what got them there and dissapear up where the sun don't shine.
