No. That's just like an interactive One Road Travel.

This (we expect) will replace Car Park Catchphrase.

It's from that Junior Senior video.

We know where it's from, but Adam means that the file size is too big according to the rules of the forum

The download takes years, any chance it will be sped up?

By the looks of the address it is his home computer, and as most people have low upload rates (compared with their download rates) then I doubt it will go any faster.

Thoughts please? I'm interested to know.

It's no secret that the texts were mixed - but then as Chris said the texters were bored of CPC. Plus, our audience hate change but get bored quickly. So how do you replace a very popular feature that's been on for two years with a host that's had a revival - largely due to his hosting CPC without annoying the audience?

Have we done it right? What would you have done differently?

It's freshing and like the texters I'm a bit mixed about it. I think I'll get used to it. Shame there wasn't much input from Roy - will this develop as the days and weeks go on? I think we some stupid callers it'll have potential.

Whilst I recognise that CPC was a very visual game turned radio, Blockbuster was pretty reliant on you actually seeing the board. BBB is a little hard to visualise.

CPC it was best of 3, that's easy to remember. With BBB having to get X correct in a row it's harder for the listener to figure out who is in the lead, how far they have got to go .. etc. It's like a pub quiz.

Can't you use the Blockbuster theme a bit more throughout, it's a classic?

It did feel odd, but I'm sure we'll get used to it, and I'm sure it'll be a great feature.

I think what ever was going to replace it was always going to sound odd. Car Park Catchphrase has become an institution over the last 2 years, it was hard to replace it. However, I think after a week of this we will be liking it. And keeping Roy Walker was a very good idea. Loved the joke "With your host... Bob.. erm, Roy Walker" Lets be honest, Roy Walker was the main reason CPC was so funny.

It wasn't as good as CPC. It doesn't have as much comedy potential for stupid callers who phone through.

I managed to arrange a trip out in the work bus, but I had to take it to a garage, after waiting around for a while they got the bus in and the mechanic had to disconnect the battery, just as BBB was starting!
 so I missed it!

As a big fan of CPC I thought the new feature was very poor. It was a limp end to the show in my opinion.

Bring back CPC.

BBB is best of 5 (first to 3) isn't it? Having to get x in a row could theoretically take all day, whereas with a best of x, there's always a finish line, which is needed, especially with the G-Spot feature at the end.

It is harder to visualise than CPC.
Say if I was just listening to Radio 1 in the car for the first time- It would be hard to "get".

I see your point, but all they've done is swap Catchphrase for Blockbusters, anyone that knew the Catchphrase, should know about Blockbusters, right?

Aled will know about proportions of the audience more than I do but I would think there would be more people who dont know about Blockbuster listening to the show than do. (As they were too young)
CPC was funny for anyone because of what Roy said. If they do the same for this than the shouldnt be a problem.
