in all honesty, radio one and chris moyles never ceases to put a smile on my face in the mornings. my hubby is in the army and never at home - and no matter how tough and shitty u know the day will be, chris moyles and his team ALWAYS make me laugh out loud at least once in the morning on my way to work!

they say that laughter is the best therapy!!! well - it works for me! :D

keep up the fantastic work!

and for all those with nothing better to do than whinge and wine - do u not have anything better to do in ur lives??

Turned over to capital once fell straight back to sleep!!!!

Love it !!

We have Viking FM up here. After some Chav broke my car aerial, there's a huge dead spot on the A19 where I can't get R1, so switch to Viking. God what a difference. I find myself bending the speed limit to get back to R1 ;)

Ahh, Viking FM. How I miss that station since moving to Kent. Not.

Do they still have that bizarre thing of doing the news on the half-hour?

As to Chris, can't miss the show - I'm too lazy to be up before 10 these days so usually end up downloading  the show and sticking it on the mp3 player to enjoy.

Although I did enjoy Mondays with JK & Joel but purely because it was something different for a day.

I'm afraid I'd have to give up some of my precious MoylesTime to find out for you ;) Used to listen to MFM and Red Rose RockFM when I lived left of the pennines. I miss them SO much

When you say MFM do you mean 103.4 MFM?

IIRC that was it's slot in the dial, yeah. Great for putting on in the background while you were doing your homework... Always had to switch over to Steve Wright though whenever he was on :)

That's the local radio station around my area, but still listen to chris, jo occasionally, colin and edith and scott. 103.4 I don't really listen to it unless dance music is on radio 1

That solves a long standing mystery for me, then. I wish I'd lived within the catchment area for AireFM, and could have caught Moyles from a lot earlier.

I dunno about being the saviour of Radio 1 (although I suspect it's true), but since I lost Red Rose and MFM, he's the saviour of my mornings!

MFM is funny in the morning but chris is so much funnier than becky whicks and the guy who do their breakfast show. Chris does pull the listeners

yea in hospital i was glad to hear a familiar voice (mr moyles of course) in the mornin, twas a guden. u had to pay to watch channels on the tv but listening to radio was free of charge so when my card ran out just listened to radio and i remember the days in the hospital like it was yesterday, when chris took the mickey out of that guy from radio 2 and pretended to be doing radio 2. oh how i tried laffing. i could have just listened to chris all day and would be more awesome without the music he had to play.

errrr am sounding like a rite gay in this, ah well, love chris
keep up the good show and wheneva ur down maite chris, just think about all those happy faces in hospital u've made!

ah dear, am i writing an essay here! oh poo!

Ok, now we're supposed to be the nerdy ones?

errrr am sounding like a rite gay in this,

Mind you if thats is the case, i'd rather be nerdy and opinionated than a bigoted toss pot who beleives whatever anyone tells him .

I signed up to this just to comment on the X Factor, but I wouldn't have known about this place if it hadn't been for Chris's comments about the negativity on here.

I enjoy Chris's show immensely and even when I disagree with him I still enjoy the show.

For example, I thought Fallout Boy's live version of Sugar We're Going Down was really good but Chris slated it so professionally that I was almost wetting myself laughing - especially when he mentioned the goldfish.
