:D Hello there, all you lovely people (I'm off work today and in a good mood... well, so far anyway... I soon have to do some Chrismas shopping)! :?

I have a question for all you computer boffins out there: -

How might I go about getting one of those short snappy website addresses? You see, the full address for our drama club website (which is linked to the www button below) is rather long and forgettable: http://ekp-drama.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk and I'd rather have something like http://www.ekp.com, for example (even though the main site that ours is incorporated in is http://www.eldersliekirk.ik.com). How might I go about getting a short, snappy and easy to remember website address?

Cheers!

:o How much would I need?... and who would I need to pay?

I was hoping not to have to pay anything for it. Isn't the internet free?...

http://www.123-reg.co.uk

£9 a year just for the address and not the space, or roundabout. Dunno if you can get it cheaper, but there is not a chance you'll get one for free

http://www.simpy.com is quite a good website too, .co.uk address and most other ones involving uk are around £6-£7 for 2 years.

You can get a subdomain one, like what I have, for free. I got mine from http://www.no-ip.com (very good if you run your own server) but there are loads of places that do them.
