With the exception of his views on Rachel,i agree 100% with MC.
Moyles doesnt seem to put in anywhere near enough effort into the show and appears to take the listeners for granted. It is as if he thinks he can churn out the same old stuff and we will continue listening. That may be,in part true, but i dont think it will draw in any new listeners.
He most definately does still have it in him,but it needs livening up somewhat, more through an extra 10% with his links rather than new features though..
Features will help, but i tune in to listen to him,not some gimicks..

I think its a cheap rip off of Scott Mills' idea to be honest.

right coz Scott Mills was the first guy to come up with the idea of putting pictures on the internet to be judged and given a rating by others...

I'm going to completely ignore what else has been said before (even though I'll agree to it), but don't you think after the new year, the hype of last years shows was crushed?

For some reason, the new jingles, removal of buzz off and talk of detox set a new agenda? Like the show was calmed down on purpose?

I dunno, but the first year of Moyles' shows was exciting which showed good things to come. But when there wasn't an exciting new year introduction piece and jazzy jingles appeared, didn't it just ruin it for a start?

I still listen with my ears to the speakers, but, it is getting dire and tedious at times now.

Well we still had the "1 year" clips and promotion of the show. One year... imagine what we can to do this year or something to that effect.

So there was quite a bit of hype about the new year. Big build up for nothing so far!

I thought we coulda been given a better promotion, especially after the first show song type thingy. There have been a few rare classic Moyles moments, but not enough to my satisfaction compared to a brilliant first year.

At the moment, it isn't as upbeat as last year. I always say, blame the jingles!

Thought I'd add my view on this. One of my mates got me into the show about 1998 I think, saying it was hilarious. Regularly it got into fits of laughter and I've listened ever since. BUT I do admit that it gradually went downhill after the first few years, by the stage that a couple of years I barely listened to it.

So I think that the new breakfast show was a breath of fresh air, the show needed a new start, and I actually thought at times last year it was better than the afternoon show. People on here have complained on here that its not as good as last year. In defence I've noticed it takes the team a while to get into it after some time off. When they come back after Xmas/New Yr I was a bit disappointed but it got better pretty quickly.

Maybe all good songs have to come to an end at some stage though, as someone said not winning the Sonys could have been a hint to improve the show. I was disappointed they got rid of Buzz Off as I thought it was one of the best features in the 1st hour.

OK thanks, good to know. Does anyone have the cat[…]
