BBC Radio 1 is a radio station operated by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). It is aimed at younger listeners (teenagers and young adults) and was launched in September 1967.

Chris Moyles appeared on the station between July 1997 and September 2012, hosting in various time slots (The Early Bit from 1997-98, The Saturday Show from 1998-2001, The Afternoon Show from 1998-2004 and finally The Chris Moyles Show at breakfast from 2004-2012).

As of 2014, Moyles is no longer under contract to the BBC. However, former breakfast show team members Aled Haydn Jones, Matt Fincham and Tina Daheley still work for the station.
