Excellent stuff DC, more Mark & Lard is always welcome (I hope to add one or two on Saturday/Sunday)

I shall add this to the main page although I've got to get round to adding write ups for Mark & Lard shows TBH, I keep forgetting to do so

Thanks again DC

i think this slipped the net for the main page, unless i missed it on there.

anyway, here's another ogg file that i've mp3'd and chopped the music out of.

mark & lard - tuesday 4th february 2003. with mark & lard plus guests on the phone picking some the worst band names they can find. featuring more norwegian folk singing!:-

I was trying to download "The Mark Radcliffe Breakfast Show Wednesday 30th July 1997" from the page in the Vault, but the link doesn't work any more. If someone could upload it somewhere else, that would be grand. If not, it's no big deal.

When I was looking on Internet Archive for M & L shows last week, I noticed there was one from 22 August 2003 that isn't on the page in the vault.

Here's the URL: http://archive.org/download/2003-08-22-MarkLardmusicEditedOut/2003-08-22-marklard_radio1_music_edited_out.mp3

Thanks Swaddon. I have that one saved, so I guess it just never got pasted into the archive thread. I think with Moyles ending the M&L stuff is taking a bit of a backseat at the moment! It would be nice if the M&L/other shows archive thread was tidied up to match the Moyles one, everyone is just concentrating on Moyles edits and whatnot right now. Still, it's nice to have four new M&L shows to listen to regardless.

Are those from 2nd and 4th march my edits or have you re-done them (and if so any particular reason?)?

Don't take it as an insult to your abillity. I just did'nt pay attention to what was already up. Your edits are better than mine so I've deleted my edits of those two shows from my uploads.

Ha ha, that's fine :) just didn't want you making work for yourself! My edits do need putting on IA though.

Thankyou :) I've deleted the Mediafire links. I'll update the archive thread in the Vault section at some point - when I don't have about a thousand Tedious links to do!

This may be a stupid question but is this the Mark & Lard archive thread as well as discussion thread now? Or is there a separate M&L archive thread that I can't find?

Just found the link to the 2003-08-22 show:

Http://archive.org/details/2003-08-22-M ... cEditedOut

Also loads more from their final month:

http://archive.org/details/MarkLard2004edited

Do we want to credit and add these to our archive too?

(copied this post also into the Moyles discussion thread to)

For some reason I have a feeling both the February & April weeks of 2003 were full weeks, I'll have to check back on my Hard Drives to be certain, I know I certainly have some Graveyard Shift shows, however I never edited the Graveyard ones as they seem to have been copied rather haphazardly (the last few minutes of one show appeared on the start of another show), however I'll still edit them & date them as per the Cassette Archive labels for them.

I'll also sort out those Radcliffe & Maconie shows for you, Nicola & whoever else wants to edit them, once I have a new laptop, I have at least 50-70 on hand so can distribute them once the laptop has been purchased. :)

I also have a load of Marc Riley shows, however his show is very different (more like a sessions show & less chatter, IIRC, so I don't know if they would be worth editing?)

I just remember the Mark & Lard afternoon show as being fairly similar to Moyles, in that there was lots of enjoyable banter, and lots of silly features. It was so long ago though that I can't remember specifics. But I used to listen to that show religiously, even at work on the sly.
