Fair point. Its gotta have been a good few pages since I uploaded any shows. And I still haven't got round to finishing off Hackney Weekend. I don't even have a life so I can't go using that excuse!

Gotta love it when Dave messes up like that.

I know that is a legendary moment, which gets referred to almost on a monthly basis, but I don't think I've ever heard it. Of course, if anyone could date it, then I could retrieve it, but I have a feeling this dates from one of the afternoon shows. I can't even find a reference to it in the forum archive, unless I've missed it and someone else wants to have a search.

Thankyou. And thanks to everybody involved in editing and clipping. It'll be a while before October 2008 pops up on here though.

There are tons of threads that refer to it, but I can't find any that actually date it. There was suggestion that it was Swindon in 2009 but I'm sure it's longer ago than that.

IA's being a pain again. Just keeps getting stuck on the processing link page. So I'll have to just try uploading today's edited show tomorrow, along with a new version of yesterday's, because I accidentally left a song in.

Monday's redone:

Monday 9th Jul 2012

And here's yesterday:

Tuesday 10th Jul 2012

Now that the show is officially coming to an end, I'll be making an effort to get more of my Jamie shows done, because I for one will be going all the way back to the beginning of the breakfast show archive, and I'd like there to be as few gaps as possible.

I just hope the rumours are true that Aled has all the shows, and that we can use them to fill in the gaps.

Request (Probably Pointless)

Postby Munki Bhoy » Wed Jul 11, 2012 7:47 am

Can someone record the last ever breakfast show for me in September? I'm out of the country most of September so it's highly likely I'm going to miss it.

I say pointless as I'm sure lots of people will be recording it anyway.

This must be the most depressing request on here.

Aye, a wee bit depressing indeed. I'm just hoping Chris doesn't step away from radio completely and does the odd show here or there and then maybe comes back with a regular show once his stint with JCS is done.

I'm always recording the shows as i listen to my own copy a day or so behind. But i'm sure Ian will have it covered before I even get home from work and have it edited and uploaded ;)

We record all the shows - there's no reason why the last one would be any different! I'll make sure it goes in the sound vault as well as being uploaded to IA.

Might be one or two from 05 missing but could be wrong but I hope you're right on the case of Aled!

Also, somebody else needs to update the sound vault because no offence to Johnny but it's been nearly 5 months since it got updated and would be easier for some people to get the shows there rather than having to skim through the pages here!

It certainly gives us the incentive to have a nice complete archive. Same with the Tedious in my case.

Is this a rumour from the horses mouth in a "nudge, nudge" kind of way? If it is true would he really give up all the shows he's worked on?
When did he start working with Chris? I know it was on the afternoon show but when abouts?

He said on an 'Ask Aled' post on here that he has a copy of every Chris Moyles Show he's worked on, and that he would hand over the tapes when he finished on Radio 1. Though I think he may have been joking.

I think he's been on the show since around 2000-2001, though I'm sure someone else on here can be more precise than that. I know that under the guise of 'BB Aled', he commented on Big Brother series 2 in 2001, but I don't think he did a similar role for Big Brother series 1.

Here's the quote (from Ask Aled part 9):

bmstinton93 wrote:Secondly, I was listening to the Dev show a couple of days ago where he was playing back old clips from the early bit. Does that mean that the BBC still have some of these shows archived? If so, Can we have them?

Programme archiving was down to the programme teams of the time until about 3 years ago when all programmes were stored automatically.

Luckily for us I've kept every show since I've worked on it :)

I don't know where we stand with me handing over tapes of the show. Maybe when the day comes and the show ends and we need a home for them I'll sneak them out under my jacket and send them to you :)
