Charlie Sloth to replace Tim Westwood

Charlie Sloth is replacing Tim Westwood on radio one xtras drivetime show from september as part of a major schedule revamp announced today.I don't know if it was Tims descision to leave or not but I will miss him

he's not leaving 1xtra or Radio 1 as his main simulcasted rap show is continuing , plus he's been given a new sunday evening slot on 1xtra. he's just a bit old for drive-time , which is fair enough.

According to that new schedule it would appear that B Traits is getting her own show on sunday nights on Radio One and 1xtra. Thats quite a fast promotion considering she only started on the INDJWT show last month!

No offense but isn't this a forum that revolves around the Chris Moyles Show and the team's endeavours outside radio etc? Why do we need to get threads like this in the general section when they should be moved to the ramble section. They have nothing to do with the show or Moyles himself therefore they are completely irrelevant.

They shouldn't be moved - they should be made there.

I think your point should more be aimed at the creators of pointless threads like this, that spark very little interest - and whose careless postings give moderators work to do.

There's nothing in the forum rules that actually specifies which topics should be where, other than the fact that Ramble is labelled 'off-topic chat'. In my time here before I was a moderator, the general trend seemed to be that anything R1 related stayed in General, so that's what I've always stuck with. However, I do agree that who's replacing Tim Westwood isn't really of much interest to anyone here.

I think it i s of interest to Radio One listeners what goes on at Radio One Extra because most of their presenters eventually end up on Radio One lets face it.Charlie Sloth in particular is 'one to watch' I think. I don't think it wil be long before he's on Radio Ones daytime line up.

I agree. I did already know about Westwood and Charlie Sloth, but I think this is a valid thread. I am interested in general Radio 1 news and I think this section is a decent place to put it.

In fact it's happeend earlier than I thought-Charlie is copresenting Vernon Kays show this saturday!
