Liverpool fans grieving over the loss of the tactical dunce that is Kenny Dalglish.

I can't understand how they consistently blind themselves to the real world. In 'King Kenny's' case he led them to the WORST premier league campaign they've ever had - and a lot of money by buying players based on nationality as opposed to proven quality. If they'd paid half the money (or less) for all their flops, it wouldn't be so bad - but they finished 8th.

I'm a Liverpool fan but I disagree with the general consensus.

He had to go really. I've ranted before about the team's style on the pitch, and their clueless lack of efficiency and while it's their fault too, the manager has to accept the blame too as that's how he's set the team up. This has been a bad season on and off the pitch for Liverpool so something had to give. I've the utmost respect for what Kenny's done in the past for the club, but he seems beleaguered by modern football and it's all tarnishing his reputation.

I genuinely don't know who I fancy for the job now though. A lot of people have been tipping Martinez, and the bookies make him the heavy favourite, but I somehow just can't see it. Yes he's done brilliantly in the latter stages of the campaign to take Wigan to safety but he consistently lets his team get bogged in a relegation battle before he shows his class. Why? Perhaps AVB or Rafa would be more suited.

Edit - just checked bet365 and their odds are now AVB 2/1 fav, Martinez 4/1, Rafa 8/1. Money's fairly gone for Martinez given he was 5/4 earlier.

I heard a classic Liverpool fan interview yesterday after the announcement -

Interviewer - are you disappointed that Kenny has gone?

Kopite - Yeah - well nah - well yeah, I mean, its like going back isn't it, we had to move on but we went back and you can't go back...

Interviwer - Who do you fancy for the job now then?

Kopite - Rafa.

Honestly, they are becoming caricatures of themsleves.

Haha I saw that last night, it's very good.

Oh well I've just put this in the chat room, but since you're talking about Liverpool: the juxtaposition of the headline from one story and photo from a totally different one is ace on the back page of today's Times:

I'm already looking forward to giving this a listen: :)

06:35 – We have a big rant about taxi drivers, car parks, bus drivers and all that’s wrong with the modern world

07:05 – More little moans and we talk about pirate radio adverts for rave events that are also advertised at traffic lights

07:20 – We pay homage to the work of skrillex

I'm amazed at how content the dog looks. Our kid's dog only just let me put a pair of bunny ears on her:

It's a brilliant film, I loved it. Zoot is a huge comic geek (so if it's not perfect he will know about it) and he thought it was amazing too.

Wouldn't you be with a stupid looking pair of bunny ears?!

I happen to suit those bunny ears, I'll have you know. Not that I have any photos of me wearing them as proof. Just of the dog.

4 months off from Uni starts now. :)

Although I really don't wanna leave Bristol and I might have to get a 2nd job as it looks like Sainsburys are only going to give me 12 hours a week over the summer.

I still don't know what you have ordered. I'm guessing its not soft fruit, although I can't think what else it might be.

We went to Maidstone Squash Club and The Mote Squash Club for a junior tournament last year.

Also, about 10 years ago we went to a lovely little theatre to see a friend of ours in a production he had written himself (it was crap) and just a few yards away was the best chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I think that might have been Maidstone too but I really can't remember.
