The girls I know sodding love being perved on. Sluts.

This is the thing - sometimes they do. But it's all about feeling in control of the situation. If you deliberately go out dressed in a short skirt and/or low cut top, or send out saucy photos of yourself (heaven forfend), then you're in control of what attention you're receiving and when. But if someone takes a covert photo of you and posts it on a website without your knowledge, you have no control over it, and that can be scary.

True. But only if you know about it.

Yeah man, everyone knows the hours of 10pm - midnight are the best time for that.

Nah that's too early. You should wait till after 2 at least as most clubs close at 4 now...

taking Pictures of attractive people

Postby Ajescent » Mon May 14, 2012 4:32 pm

I think it's weird, just like the rest of the team.

HOWEVER

Isn't this the same thing as taking pictures of random celebrities? Why is it "okay" to take pictures of celebrities without their permission but not of "normos"?

Can that be considered double standards or what?
I'm not new!!!

Merged as this is basically the same discussion.

So do I. I had never heard of anyone doing this before this morning's conversation, and was also happily oblivious to the fact that there are actual websites devoted to this kind of thing. As someone who asks the people I'm with on nights out etc. not to post any photos I'm in on Facebook or any other social network sites, I would feel REALLY uncomfortable and angry if I found out that some random person had not only taken my picture, but posted it online! Aled, and anyone else who does this, really need to have a word with themselves.

Have you never seen someone so attractive that you want to share their charming visage with a friend who isn't with you at the time? That's all it is. Just an extension of saying "i saw a really hot guy/girl today". Obviously posting it online is different...

Never. But then I never usually notice anyone around me as I go about my daily business, including people I know well. I've often had friends and acquaintances telling me that they saw me whilst driving and beeped at me/waved at me from across the street etc. and I didn't acknowledge them. The reason being, I didn't see them because I was engrossed in my own thoughts. So I suppose I'm therefore highly unlikely to take any notice of strangers, good looking or otherwise.

But having said that, even I did happen to notice an adonis, I would never think of taking a sneaky picture of him. To me, that's just plain weird and disturbing!

A few times I've had random people run up to me in clubs and take photos of themselves with me, so it must happen to everyone. Especially since everyone is a potential paparazzo these days with their camera phones, etc. I've never cared about whether said photos get posted up on Facebook or not though - I'm pretty chilled out about that kind of thing.

Spot on. Two of my female friends recently posted Facebook statuses about driving past roadworks on their way to work and perving at the workmen there(one of them said she nearly lost control of her car).

Oh, well, I've done it once or twice, so I'm obviously weird and disgusting. It's always been women I've taken pics of though.

I take nude pictures of my wife whilst she is sleeping.

Is this weird or disgusting or just plain pervy?
