Anyone else feel the show is becoming too "Twittercentric"? To me, the show seems to mention Twitter a lot, even interviews with guests is
How many followers do you have on twitter?
The last thing you said on twitter?
What do you think about twitter?
What don't you use twitter?

I'm not that big a fan of twitter I admit but it just feels that Twitter is elbowing it's way too much into the show.

Anyone else think this or is it just me?
I'm not new!!!

I think Twitter has been the source of a lot of content for the show and the audience of the show are big users of Twitter in the most part.

I love Twitter, so it doesnt really bother me when they use it and talk about it a lot. There are loads of radio shows - on Radio 1 and elswhere - where Twitter is used a lot so I dont think Moyles is too different.

There is so little content on the show lately though that Twitter is probably used a bit more than it should be just to fill up time. What does surprise me is how much time is devoted to Twitter when Moyles uses it so sparingly, and most of what he does say on there is only in order to keep the account going and to keep people following him.

I use Twitter loads myself and I follow Chris and all the team. I think it appeals because it connects the audience member directly to an account they definitely know Chris is using, and because Tweets reach the account you're sending them to immediately. In that sense it's like texting in but better.

Regarding the increase in the popularity of it, I think that's just the times. A couple of years ago it was Facebook which was the main way of contacting the show online. In another couple of years it might be different again, although it's got to be said Twitter is a pretty ideal way of communicating with the show so it could stay like this for a while.

Would be funny if all forum posts had to be 140 characters or less.

Twitter is a fantastic little thing that makes people feel connected, where else would you find a constant stream of yo momma so fat jokes?

Ultimately it aint going anywhere as it is the chief medium by which the girls use to connect with boybands of the day, and if radio 1 doesn't get in on this act then that would be more unusual than it just being talked about too much.

Without Twitter I wouldn't have been able to speak to many of the people I admire in the public eye. It's quite a thrill to get a response from a big name.

My only observation here is that when Chris says Twitter in his pseudo American accent he says "Twitt-or". This annoys me because it isn't how any American I know says it. They say Twitter with an American accent, not Twittor with an American accent. Chris is from Leeds, and I don't really understand why he has to arbitrarily pretend to be American for a single word anyway.

That explains why I don't understand - I loathe Keith Lemon and avoid watching or listening to anything that features him.

It was brilliant when all the youngies turned out to see him switch on Blackpool lights, after weeks of whinging from oldies who don't even attend the event.

Also he's not a real person, just a character, like Alan Partridge.

I know he is a character - I find him repulsive. Its partly physical, he is so unpleasant to look at - but the personality is repugnant too.

I definitely agree with this. I like the fact that Twitter is used to promote the show, but I can imagine if you weren't on it it would get irritating very fast. Like when they harp endlessly on about what's happening on the webcam and you're running around getting ready for work and clearly can't watch. But then I always imagine that that must be happening to a lot, maybe even a majority, of listeners. It's much more simple to just get on Twitter and be part of what they're talking about.

I guess you either love him or detest him. I didn't like him at first when he was a character on Bo' Selecta, but after Leigh Francis developed him and made him more of a personality in his own right I warmed to him(even though I still find his jokes pretty cringeworthy at times).

He was giving a cute puppy away to a child on 'LemonAid' today, proving just what a nice guy he is.

I'm on the loving him side of the fence, Celebrity Juice is one of my favourite shows. I enjoy the fact that all guests going onto the show must have to resign themselves to the fact that they are going to be humilated in some way when they agree to an appearance. Caroline Flack took a right verbal battering over the Harry Styles situation when she was on it last Thursday.

See I wouldn't be impressed by someone knowingly submitting to abject humiliation by a complete arse in order to line their pockets. I prefer people with a bit more self respect. But that's never been my kind of viewing. Thankfully television provides plenty of choice for us all!

I'll definitely need to see that episode then. I'm pretty sure nothing has ever happened between Caroline Flack and Harry Styles and the whole thing was a well-orchestrated X Factor publicity stunt to get them both better known, but I've always disliked Caroline Flack anyway so this would make amusing viewing.

The thing I dislike about Keith Lemon is a lot of chavvy people I know like him and that makes me feel bad for liking Celebrity Juice.

Here you go, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gLG7Uaw12s

I must say that I don't mind Caroline, she's done a decent job on the two shows I've seen her present. She used to appear in the Michael Jackson sketches in Bo Selecta back in the day, and she and Leigh Francis are friends. So she probably didn't mind appearing (she's been on plenty of times before too) because she knew he wouldn't push it too far.

I'd guess that when Chris and Dave went on it was with the intention of having a laugh rather than lining their pockets, and that many of the other guests do it for much the same reasons. They've had people like Jonathon Ross and Ant and Dec on recently, and I doubt any of them needed to do it for the money!

I love Twitter but I can understand if you didn't use it that you would get annoyed about the almost-constant talk about it. It's like for me when they talk about X-Factor or The Voice - I never like those kinds of shows.

That Celebrity Juice clip is quite funny, although I wouldn't say it was a verbal battering as such. I'm more a fan of the kind of sarcasm which, say, Jimmy Carr would do.

I think I would be a bit annoyed too, but I am not interested in facebook and when they - or any show - talk about that site I just glaze over and stop paying attention.

I do think though that most people who like these shows that are targeted to a younger audience are likely to have twitter anyway. Most of them will have smartphones so it makes sense to just set up a twitter account so you can keep in touch with what shows like the Moyles show are up to.
