just thought I'd let you's guys know that Twitter is awash with thousands of people stating that basically:
WHY IS SARA COX ON INSTEAD OF FEARNE?? I LOVE FEARNE! SARA COX IS SOOOO IRRITATING.

I think Sara Cox is fantastic and I absolutely love her Sunday show, but I can see why some people would find her irritating.

All the tweets I saw that mentioned Sara were in relation to some band she had in the live lounge today. They seemed to consist of hate for her only because the fangirls for said band couldn't stand waiting for them to come on and having to sit through the rest of the show before the live lounge slot began. I didn't see anyone profess their love for Fearne Cotton. That would have been very depressing.

I prefer Sara as a R1 presenter, but I think Fearne does the late morning slot better than Sara.

I'm a huge fan of Fearne but I would listen to Sara over her any day. I think that Fearne is definitely better on the television. I still enjoy Fearne's show though, the only bit that I turn off is the vending machine game as it makes me cringe a bit. I think Sara is hilarious even when she doesn't try to be!

Fearne is awful, absolutely dreadful. I don't watch anything that she presents on TV, so I wouldn't know about that, but I wouldn't have thought she's much better.

I'm not a huge fan of either, but Sara does grind my gears when she goes off on those rambles of hers. When I'm listening to her show I actually want her to hurry up and play a song, kind of the opposite of when I'm listening to the breakfast show.

Given the choice I would say... Cox. Fearne just makes me want to NEVER listen to radio 1 ever again. I'd like to think that even when I'm in my 40's I'd drift back to hear what the hip kids ( ) are listening to (And like some of it) and listen to some of the DJs' and not think what an idiot they are.

I always love it when Sara covers for Fearne, she's so much funnier and generally more listenable.

As an aside, I loved Morgana's recent impression of Fearne on her show. She was so convincing I actually thought for a moment "Wow, Fearne's gone smutty today".

I'm not sure it was anti-Sara. If you re-read the OP, he's saying that he dislikes the fact that Twitter is full of people who prefer Fearne:

I prefer Fearne. I hate when she says morning and sometimes she can be annoying. But apart from that she's easy listening and plays good music.

Sara on the other hand, I turn off whenever she's on. Everything she says irritates me and she always tries to be funny and just... isn't.
