Love Dom, loved the interview, loved the cringe. She only came across as remotely sweet when Dom asked for her number. Sounded like a bored little shite when he asked her about pan-am series. Sweet? About as sweet as a lemon / grapefruit *.

She came across well on the Jonathan Ross show , i thought.
I just think she was baffled by Dom , rather than just being stuck up and/or cold

I thought she was awful on Jonathan Ross too! Takes herself way too seriously.

Missed that part of the Interview with old JR. Wouldn't have had her down as a squirter (sorry, can't help it). As for actually coming across well, little miss red head's got it spot on.

I don't know how she could be baffled by Dom. There was nothing to baffle her with. She would've done thousands of interview recs all with people who have varying degrees of interviewing skills. Granted Dom's style is a bit oafish but from what I heard of it, done nothing to warrant the curt responses he was being given. So in my opinion she was being stuck up and/ or cold.
You have your opinion and I have mine. Mine's, however, is right.

It was like the Halle Berry interview I listened to not too long ago from 2004 where you heard Dom a lot more than the interviewee. It was only the end of the interview with the phone number question where you actually some some life with her laughing a little. I love those cringeworthy moments. Remember laughing my head off last year with his Cameron Diaz interview with the whole smelly finger business. I'd rather listen to Dom's silly interviews than a boring 'you know what you're geting' one anyday unless the topics that come up are interesting to listen to of course.

Glad we're on the same page now. Good you've seen the error of your ways.
Oh... There's a question mark at the end there. Never seen that.
With respect, yes. Yes you are.

It was a bit cringey, but nothing major. I agree that she came across reasonably well actually.

Anyway, how can anyone criticise the interviewee when the interviewer has deliberately come up with questions to make the whole thing uncomfortable?

Why should the guest be expected to play along with it when it is that self-indulgent? Yes, they are expected to give a bit back, but they are primarily there to promote a film. When the whole thing is designed to be cringey and uncomfortable, it seems unreasonable to criticise the guest for actually being uncomfortable and unsure of how to react, when that is precisely the reaction Dom and the team were after.

I am not criticising the interviews by the way. I love what Dom does in these interviews, but I don't go along with criticising the interviewee.

I couldn't agree more. I'd been thinking the same thing myself as I was reading all the posts criticising Christina, but was too lazy to post. So thanks for obliging Travis.

My mistake. I was never under the assumption the interviews were designed to be cringe inducing, more set up to be a change from the boring humdrum you'd get off moviejuice or film 2000. Fair enough if that's the case. Some interviewee's obviously respond more affably than others. As darrom mentioned Cameron Diaz, in a similar situation, took to it like a duck sized horse. I still feel she came across as cold as an eskimo's poop. Maybe I expected too much from her.

I think Dom is dreadful at interviewing these people. He is so intent on being "wacky" and different to the usual type of thing that mostly you end up with nothing worth listening to. Maybe someone with more skill and ability at that sort of thing would be able to carry that approach off, but Dom certainly can't. His interviews say far more about him than they do about the interviewee, even on the rare occasions they go well enough to be an enjoyable listen.
