Zane Lowe on Breakfast

I expect many will disagree, but actually enjoying Zane Lowe taking over the Breakfast show this week.
The change in music is refreshing from the usual pap.

Saying that, still looking forward to the team returning next week... However, Annie Mac can stay as long as she wants in the 10am slot. :D

I agree. Whilst I prefer the chat with Chris and the team, no-one else can do that effectively, so when Chris isn't there, I want a decent music show. Zane ticks that box nicely.

I have to agree. Switched on expecting it to be too hard a listen 7am but actually really enjoyed the shw. Great upbeat stuff for a miserable January morning. It is quiet a toned down version of his evening show it has to be said. Refreshing to have a little mix etc free zone for a few days.

Dare I say it but I think Zane now pips Sara as my first choice for Moyles holiday cover. In contrast in the evening, as with Mills, I find it hard to enjoy Grimmy's show so I'm still with XFM on the way home!

I haven't really listened to him much, but I was very surprised to switch my radio on this morning to hear Riders On The Storm playing! My favourite Doors song :D

Although like the rest of us here I am missing the chat of Moyles & Co, if you can't get someone in with the same level of chat you want someone who has a great wide musical tastes & Zane definitely ticks this box, must listen to his show more often :)

Really enjoyed Zane again this morning. Also, who is this Adam Cattrall who is doing earlies? He is a billion times better than Dev. He has got Daytime written all over him - maybe even Breakfast one day.

Yes yes yes! I've heard him before, not this week and he is quite good - even if I do nearly always mistake him for Vernon when I first wake up.

Totally agree, really enjoing the music, miss Chris and that but the nice to hear proper music played and not the usual playlist bland boring crap. Just wish this type of music was played on a morning mixed with Chris and the teams usual banter, but alas we get one or the other but never at the same time, so when Chris is back, suppose its back to listening to him and switching off/over when he plays a crap playlist record :(

This would be great and it is the reason why I have stopped downloading full shows and just download Ian's edited shows because I usually have to take my earphones out if a crappy song is on whenever I listen to him live. I haven't listened to Zane since I just listen to other stuff while Chris is away whenever I am in work and it is not the music why I listen to Chris anyway.

I've downloaded the Boxing day '12 hours of the best of Moyles longest eva show' ting so am listening to that in the car instead of Zane...

Mush better. Although, points against Aled, the first song was only 8 minutes in and EVERY news starts bang on time... Just not Moyles-esque.
I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept....

It is indeed a fair post, if you like keeping to the topic in question. I prefer to go with the flow of thread and see what wonderful conclusion we can reach.

E.g.

Sak Noel, Pap on not Pap (or something like that)

Is a song shit or not > Pizza Making Device > Ben wanking into socks and stuffing down side of bed.

Good Times.

Well those topics were more memorable than the song itself. And the Original poster of that thread.
