Live video streaming next week (w/c 9th) from Carlisle

Postby jamiec21 » Sat May 07, 2011 1:35 pm

Anyone planning to capture and upload? Looks as though all the shows are on Freeview so I'm going to record them, but could do with some backup in case things go wrong on my end.

Does anyone know if the mysterious satellite person who captured the marathon show will be capturing this and putting it up for download? Also is anyone planning to put it on youtube? The only reason I ask is I have tons of the marathon show still to get through and it seems pointless if 2 people edit and upload the same show onto youtube. If no one plans to and files become available to download I'll happily do it. :)

I'm capping the web stream right now, but as usual :? it's glitchy as fark.

The Mystery Sat Capper has been in touch, though, and has said he is planning to cap the satellite red button stream. If there's enough demand, he'll post the cap.

I would like to watch as I like to listen to the show all the way through but nothing justifies getting out of bed at 6:30 :P

I recorded the entire web stream, but my ISP seems to be blocking all the web lockers (MegaUpload etc.) at the moment, so if someone is running their own FTP, let me know and I can share.

The first few mins were glitchy, but I stopped and started the stream and the rest is fine.

I missed it as usual so would like to see it :)
Lurker for a few years. Then signed up, posted some things, then lurked for another few years.
Now the show is over, I start posting. Perfect logic eh?

I found a file locker that works.

Here's the first few minutes (glitchy). The remainder is not glitchy and is being uploaded at the moment.

The Chris Moyles Show in Carlisle 2011-05-09_06.30 to 06.49_BBC - Radio 1.flv

Scroll down to the bottom right to download for free.

Play with VLC.
Skipping around may not work, but fast forwarding at up to 16x should work.

Any word on whether or not the mystery Sat Capper will upload? I for one would be extremely grateful :D

As he's said he'll share if there's demand, the more people who ask, the more demand will have been demonstrated.

I've had 3 upload failures on the remainder of the files going to fileserve :( so I'm trying another locker now.

I have a complete Freeview Red Button stream coming in at around 3.25GB. I will upload but would also like the satellite stream as the bitrate and resolution is higher than Freeview.

Yeah if you're using Fileserve as a free user they don't tend to be very nice. Have you tried Filesonic?

Part 1 of today's web stream (post 6.49am): https://www.rapidshare.com/#!download|5 ... rar|524288 (525MB)

Note, you will need to unpack all 3 parts before viewing. Unpack with WinRAR or similar.

Not actually heard anything, apart from the waking Dave bit, that is actually making me want to bother downloading the video today. Hopefully the last hour is different...or they play up to it a bit more tomorrow :)

Chris and Dave are hosting a two-hour show this Saturday from the Big Weekend, from 3-5. Dave getting equal billing in the title, he must be moving up in the world.

I'd also love it if the satellite cap was uploaded. The quality of the broadcast is as crystal clear as we are ever going to see it unless the BBC release the raw uncompressed footage (Which will never happen). :D
