I remember him saying that people who think that people swearing is a lack of articulation was a load of bollocks...

I doubt very much that he would have said that, because the appropriate word would actually be "articulacy". If he was an orthopaedic consultant he might be more interested in articulation.

Anyone who doubts his brilliance with the language only needs to read his books. Television may lie, but the written word is harder to fool.

Aww, you know what I mean...It was me remembering what he said a few years ago, and not being the most intelligent person in the world, I got confused

I agree with the book thing. Making History and the Star's Tennis balls are my favourites, but I love them all. I adore Making History, I find it fascinating, as I took an A level in history and find anything about Hitler fascinating, although Making History is probably more specifically NOT about Hitler.

I've yet to read his autobigraphy, Moab Is My Washpot, although I do own it. I bought it then moved house, so I'm not entirely sure where it is at the moment

I also fancy Will Mellor- to be honest I fancy every male from two pints apart from

1. Arthur
2. Munch
3. Janet's dad

My mum thinks that Will Mellor is the only man who looks better with his clothes off than on

Janet's dad is Eddie the bar owner in Hustle.

I'd go for Susan Sheriden (Enormous breasts!) Or Natalie Whatserface who plays Donna.

Actually I'd probably be up for Will Mellor too if I had enough jars before hand!

Natalie Casey...if you've ever seen the live episode where she sings "Chick-chick-chick-chick-chicken"- she actually released that as a single- she performed it on a BBC saturday morning show and asked Boy George to take her to the loo- she was only 3 or so at the time

Do it! It's really good. I have had the audiobook as my bedtime 'read' for the last few weeks. Now it's over I kind of miss it.

There's nothing quite like Steven Fry reading to you before you go to sleep.

Stephen Fry is excellent...I have been listening to him on the Harry Potter audiobooks in the last couple of weeks, and they are amazing- I love Stephen fry, especially when he does audiobooks, or QI, or a bit of Fry and Laurie, or his Blackadder, or his Whose Line is it Anyway...basically I love Stephen Fry, whatever he does

I do apologise. My lecturer is called Steven, and I'm currently conversing with him over email, so I'm all confuddled.

That's exactly what Sanjeev Bhaskar from the Kumaars and No42 said....He doesn't want it to send him to sleep, but he thinks that the Stephen Fry Audiobooks are good to listen to when you are going to sleep- He said it on Stephen Fry's 50 Not Out

Jacqui and Andy B, you are possibly the only people I have ever known who (appear to) regularly watch Two Pints of Lager - it's an abysmal show. Even Ralf Little admitted in an interview that he doesn't like it (well he didn't say in so many words, to paraphrase, he said "I'm a bit of a TV snob and it's not really the type of show I'd watch."

The first 3 seasons were ok. When I met Ralf Little he said he found it nice that someone recognized him from that rather than Royale Family. We chatted for ages about it. Bought me a pint too! Thougoughly nice guy I thought.

Can we talk about celebrities without you constantly harping on about how you met them / drank with them / arm wrestled them?

Nope. I'm quite proud of that fact and since I don't have any present glories to live in. Past glories will have to do.

I used to watch it loads, not so much now purely because I've seen them all so many times.

Anne Hathaway. Not the one from Stratford-Upon-Avon, she's seen better days. 400-odd years ago, I'm sure she was lovely though.
