Is there any point at all in asking you where you heard this, or from whom?

bet he's right though... :P

Quite possibly, but that would make it a matter of even more interest where he heard it from.

Well, if we take it as read that the show will end on a Friday he has a 1 in 4 chance of being correct. I am sure if he is right he will take great delight in saying "told you so".

Would be gutted if I weren't able to see that last one! Would love to sit down with a beer to toast you all whilst having tea and watch you go out with a bang!

(Cheers for everything you guys have done btw - seriously phenomenal how awesome you all are and how much we'll all miss you!)

I'll see what I can do, but in afraid the reality is the BBC is having to save a lot of money at the moment so a lot of attention has been given to the cost of providing enough back end support for live video to be accessed by a global audience as opposed to just the licence fee paying UK one.

Ooh, I missed this, do you remember what week that was?

Aled, did Freya get much hell on twitter after posting that photo of you?

She did, but she shouldn't have - the photo was alright. She's just one of those people that lulls you into a false sense of security by taking a photo for her 'collection' to then post it for the world to see!!

Don't forget this is an Ask Aled forum. Posts like this are going to spark a lot of replies and it'll make it had for me to spot posts asking me questions when that happens.

With such a short amount of time left lets not lose focus on this thread, I imagine there's going to be a lot more questions over the last few weeks.

We're getting close to announcing our end date so not long now. The Sept 14th is one of the considerations, the other is Sept 21st.

Yeah right.

He's annoying Aled now. Can he at least be banned from this section of the forum?

Al - I've been meaning to ask for a couple of weeks, but today's chat with Jake reminded me - have you got the F1 bug now? Did you genuinely really enjoy it and did it turn you into a fan? The sound of an F1 car racing round a circuit, is one of the most awe-inspiring ones I've ever heard... the sound of 24 of them is absolutely amazing. I really hope you enjoyed it.

I don't know if that's possible. But be assured I'm keeping an eye on it.

The official 'Ask Aled' thread (Part Ten)

Was the announcement that Chris was leaving prerecorded? It's got a few bits that feel like it was (not in a bad way).

I think I'm more hoping that you all got together as it played out and listened, or that Chris wouldn't be able to read it out live.

Aled couple of questions

Couple of years ago when Chris was ill the rest of the team will do a show one day without him so hope you can fit that in :)

Secondly is the TCMS likely to contribute to christma programming I.e. 12 hour best of. Would be great but could appreciate it being unfair to Grimmy

That's not a question. It's just a collection of words.

Questions rewritten in question format...

1. A couple of years ago when Chris was ill and Sara covered, you said the rest of the team will do a show one day without him. Will that still be the case?

2. Is the TCMS likely to contribute to Christmas programming? e.g. A 12 hour best of show, Would be great but I could appreciate it being unfair to Grimmy

Aled,I've just realised the most obvious question of all, which up till now no-one seems to have thought of. That is, will you still be taking part in this forum once the Chris Moyles Show is finished, or is this the end of Ask Aled? I've just realised we never knew you before you were involved with Chris. I'm a bit worried that if you're not involved with whatever Chris does next that we might not h ear from you again. Please reassure us that this is not the case!

Sure even if there's nothing more for him to say about Chris or R1, we can always ask him about bottled water, languages, and women instead. Well done on the MPD Aled, you and Sara played a blinder. I'm sure it helped greatly that both of you actually had a partner to play with for starters, unlike that poor 'I'm just doing this now' woman who was stuck with a teenager who looked like he wasn't really present in the moment, if you know what I mean, and effectively ended up playing the game on her own. But well played again to you two! :)

Ah, no. I can't see how that will happen now.

2. No, again can't see that. You're right. It's not fair on Grimmy. The Chris Moyles Show is going to leave quite a legacy and a lot of people will be comparing Grimmy to our show unfairly. I think it wouldn't be on to do TCMS specials over Christmas if he's breakfast.

This is the Chris Moyles forum. If I work with Chris again in the future as producer and I have something to contribute then sure! It would kind of be weird for me to talk on here though if I wasn't with Chris - what with this being a Chris Moyles forum!

Bit of a 'not quite thought through, spur of the moment question', this, but with Chris' leaving the mornings, will Radio 1 be rebooting itself overall?

I say that because the breakfast show has the big Radio 1 audience, and a lot of them will go. Not saying that Grimmy won't bring his own crowd (he will), or that many won't stay since there isn't really a station for Moyles aficionados to move on to. (And not Radio 2, because we don't tend to be Daily Mail readers). But younger audiences are moving away from linear broadcasting, and more to online sources, downloads, etc. R1 has been moving down that root with web streaming and podcasts and suchlike, but would they consider moving to digital downloads as the primary medium that then gets strung together as radio?

I don't quite know what my question is, more of a vague discussion opener. Any thoughts?

Hi Aled, personally speaking I think it would be a shame if you left the forum. It is called ChrisMoyles.net but I know I and a lot of the members care a lot about the other members of the team too. Reading between the lines it would appear you won't be working with Chris on his new project but that wouldn't mean I'm not interested in what you're doing next so I'd love you to stick around but I totally understand if you didn't want to, clean break and all that.

If you do leave the forum can some of the members have a * lunch session arranged as way of a goodbye party? Be a shame for the show to end without its biggest fans not coming up to say bye in person to you as you've done a lot for the site.
