BBC Radio 1 is bringing down the curtain on its summer roadshows and replacing them with a series of one-day pop festivals in cities around the UK. Now it is being replaced by a new series of events, called One Big Sunday events. Beginning next month in Bristol, each one-day show will feature eight acts performing live.
A new weekly series, Chris Moyles On The Road, will also take the radio station to 20 towns and cities in the coming months.
Every Wednesday for six weeks, Chris Moyles On The Road will be broadcast live from the Radio 1 sound stage with performances from some of his favourite acts and visits from some of his best showbiz pals.
Going on the road is a fantastic experience because of the live element of the show says Chris. If you’re a fan of the radio show then you’ve got to come and see it broadcast live from the beach. Who knows, you may even get to see Comedy Dave naked!
