My Step dad works for the company that import and sell DCUK stuff. Recently they had a batch that came in of thousands that said DUCK instead of DCUK and they had to burn them all!

I like the duck but I would like it much more without the boots, and a bit more without the hat.

Well played chrysostom. 10/1 wasn't a bad price considering how early in the match it was.

I've only been to Sevilla from that list, but it is a beautiful city. How long you there for?

Yes haha. There's not heaps of touristy stuff there, but enough for a decent day. There's the cathedral (2nd or 3rd biggest in Europe, unsure) which has the Giralda tower you can climb. Right at the top there's a magnificent view of the entire city from each side.

Then there's the Royal Alcazar gardens, they're enclosed in the middle of the city, but once you're inside you'd barely know you were in the city.

There's the Plaza de Espana which is within the Parque Maria Luisa. You can't go inside it, as it's now used for government/council stuff, but it looks tremendous. It was also in Star Wars Attack of the Clones if you're fans of that.

The main university building is worth seeing too. It's an old tobacco factory but the building itself is stunning.

Oh, and there's La Maestranza - the bull ring. Not many people are fans of actual bull fighting, and the season for it is relatively short (April until August I think) but you can get tours round the bullring for a relatively low amount and it's fascinating.

I visited all of these places with several people while I lived there, and I'd definitely go again. I miss Sevilla.

The idea of a casual wooden duck made me laugh.

A guy I know in the States has got me a bunch of vegan cereal bars and chocolate that I can't get over here. I'm very excited. I know, small things.

I can't stand broccoli. It's bitter and weird.

On a betting note, I've to collect £60 today thanks to Dundee Utd last night. Not as big a win as chrysostom, but I'm still chuffed. Been so long since I've had a decent winner.

What's making you smile/laugh today?

Postby chrysostom » Mon Mar 12, 2012 6:13 pm

Our client (who's European social media presence I revamped 6 months ago, and now manage) has just been named the 9th best social media account (for recruitment) in Europe by HR100!

The reason I'm over the moon about this is because I'm the only one managing this account, and I've never recieved a formal ranking/honour before in my career.

I know it's only 9th and in a niche sector, but I'm very very very happy about this. Also I've completed my 6 month probationary period here. All I need is Arsenal to win tonight and the trinity is complete.

I think this says something significant. Niche or no, its a hell of an achievement when your career is only six months old (I know its not your first work experience, but it is your first proper job I believe?). Well played Andrew.

I'm guessing that is more directed at Chrysos Loan and not at the fact DTJ has a passing resemblance to my gorgeous self?

It was directed at both. Least you have someone who can understand and share in the pain.
