Suggestions for the Final Show

The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I thought the bidet chat today was class.

Haven't we all washed our feet, chilled beer in one?, us Brits circle around a bidet as if it's an alien monolith.

Inane chat is a must.

Loving the suggestion of no playlist music in the final show. Never going to happen, but still, I can hope!

I know others have said it, but I'd like to see Rachel and Carrie feature somewhere.

And maybe one final Tedious Link which links back to the first ever tedious link... making it one big loop going on forever. :D

Edit: D'oh! Just noticed someone else has mentioned that idea, too...! Oh well, great minds think alike.

+1
Sometimes I've listened to CPC and wondered if Roy has actually been in the studio talking deadpan as if to pretend they are recorded clips. His comebacks are to callers are often instantaneous and I know Chris is quick on that console (as proved in the marathon show) but... #justsayin

Does anyone else remember the first year or so of CPC when there was only about 15 clips of roy played out!

Roy is fed gin through a drip prior to recording his bits so I doubt he is fully aware of what's going on. In his mind he is still doing the Ready Money Round on Catchphrase from 1992.

What would you like to see on the last show?

Postby Ajescent » Fri Jul 20, 2012 6:54 am

Me personally:

I would like them to do as they promised. Namely, air all their grievances that have been building up through the years, usually against the BBC but yes.

Ideally, I would like the entire songlist for the show be nothing but parodies, so no actual "official" songs, just parodies and stuff like that.

What would you like?

We do, and the parody idea is good.

Perhaps a top 10?.....

So you want the final show to contain a big old hunk of bitterness and negativity? No thanks.

What day is the last show on? If it's a Friday then McFly singing Star Girl live would be wonderful.

It seems unlikely Carrie is going to be there (wherever the last show is). She said on Twitter that the due date for her second child is the 20.09. And that's around the last CMS (even if we don't know the exact date). She might phone in or something like that, but I honestly don't think she will be there unfortunately.

I like the idea of the Tedious link looping back to the first Tedious link of the Breakfast Show. That is beautiful.

Mouldy lookin stain or Folk Face should reunite for one last time.

Was thinking if they had to play a song that was not a parody that you could play spice girls goodbye. Beautiful song esp with the words "it's not the end so glad we made it time will never ever change it. It's time to say goodbye" :(

Dave's just inadvertently given away the date of the last show.he's just said there are 5 pub quizzes left after today. That means the last show must be on friday september 14.(unless there's a week without one of course, which is unlikely) Trust Dave to leak it out!

Are you factoring in the two weeks they have off in August?

The dates of the quizzes would be:

31st July
7th Aug
28th Aug
4 Sep
11 Sep

That includes their holidays.

But they could just still do another week after that with no pub quiz on the final week.
