I just meant the team won't be staying together - it doesn't mean none of us CAN work together.

Ah well that's cheered me up slightly. The Breakfast show ending I can just about get over but all of you guys vanishing and not working together I can't.
I am meerly speculating but I can't see Chris wanting to be produced by anyone other than you so I hope you link up with him in his new show.

Yeah, everyone talks about the chemistry between Dave and Chris but Chris and Aled is just as good. In fact they all bounce of each other so well. There is no better polished radio show anywhere out there but they still manage to maintain that "this show was planned at 6:25am on the back of a fag packet" type of delivery.

It's perfect.

I just hope for the last show they can get all the old team together, Carrie, Rachel, Matt Fincham etc as well as all of the current team, they deserve to be there on the last show, they helped build it into what it is today.
I Still can't quite believe it's going to be ending soon, I started listening after a recommendation from my best mate when I changed jobs and had a long car journey to work in my previous job (where I only stayed a few months) then when I moved to my current job nearer to home I listened on the way to work and surprisingly on my first day there the radio was tuned to radio 1. I've listened to the show for around 7/8 years and will genuinely miss it, Chris and the team help brighten up my boring mornings at work. I know it had to end some time but so what if radio 1's listeners are older than they should be? He still gets around 8 million listeners, so why fix what ain't broke? I wish Grimmy all the luck in the world, he's gonna need it, Moylesy and the team are gonna be a tough act to follow.

Look what Aled just posted on Twitter, with the comment 'One for the Geeks'. I think most of us here qualify as CMS geeks.

Dave's handwriting is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen, and I work with 4 and 5 year olds!

If Dave is ever short of cash, he could stick that on eBay. He'd make a fortune.

In fact, the team could just find various bits of similar crap around the studio, sign it, and put it on eBay. They need never work again.

I will miss it, listen every morning from 6:30 - 7, cheers me up on the way to work. Mind you, I am probably part of the problem being one of the "40-somethings" Ben Cooper is looking to jettison... :(

I am only just getting over Mark and Lard going.

I hate these radio1 shake ups. They get rid of all the good people.

These last couple of weeks with Toby Lerone have had me in stitches. I'm really going to miss the fun in the mornings.

I'd rather eat a tramps trousers than listen to Chris Evans so R2 is no option.

Does it matter that R1 are attracting older listeners to the breakfast show? I bet Grimshaw won't get anywhere near 7 million listeners.

These are sad times.

There might be some people who love Grimshaw but hate Moyles, so they'll want to tune in and listen to him when Chris bows out.

I'm not sure many of the people who say they dislike Chris even listen to Radio 1 or are of target age. Many of them seem to have last listened in 2000 or something.

Well, I had such an allegiance to The Big Breakfast that I stayed with it when Chris Evans left because it was The Big Breakfast. Does Radio 1 mean that much to me that I must stick with its breakfast show no matter who presents it? I really dont think it does for me and a lot of people.

Who would I stay with the breakfast show for ? I dont know. Probably dear ol Kenny Everett, possibly Vic and Bob? Eddie Izzard?

Wont happen. Apart from a weeks worth of Scott Mills podc...free downloads, think its time to fly the nest sadly.
Wake up with Moyles, go home with Mills my ass

To be fair i've only listened since Chris did the Kilimanjaro Climb so i think i'm still a fairly new listener, but since then i've been absolutely hooked and can't get enough of him. The mornings just won't be the same without him, and the thought of that talentless muppet Grimmy taking over means Radio 1 will lose me as a listener.

As for the age thing ? I really don't get it, why fix something if it's not broken. Chris & the team clearly appeal to all ages and that seems to be thought as a bad thing by the suits at the top.

I'd personally love to see the team go elsewhere and do their thing, but i really don't see that happening. I'm sure Dave will go over to Radio 5 Live, he seems to have been on there quite regularly lately.

The BBC are slaves to public opinion as well as their competitors. If they're told by the BBC Trust that they have to appeal to 15-24 year olds then they have to do it or risk an enquiry into whether it's a worthwhile service, is money being spent properly etc - and a lot of people in mainstream commercial media want to see the BBC crumble.

Aaaaah many thanks for clearing that up for me. It amazes me the decisions made by people at the top, surely it's about what makes the most money and i'm sure the Chris Moyles Show makes far more than others... Hey what do I know ? I'm only a postman...

You know more than the BBC trust. BBC Trust should be filtered and in its place should be the word "wankers".

Ending on the 14th! So 14 more shows after holidays and ending on the 14th! Kind of sucks but maybe musical schedule & rehearsal could have affected the date!
