I was asking purely for research purposes.

I always liked it when Eilidh McGeachie played with my thermometer. She never let me place it under her tongue to check her temperature mind.

Newbies- Introduce yourself

Postby bmstinton93 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 10:33 am

I was when that was originally written. If I'd have read it before deadly then I might have made the comment but I got beaten to it.

Ryan should be asking for pictures tbh. If Nicola can do it...

I'm pretty sure Ryan's 4 years younger than her. She'd probably get in trouble for sending them.

Almost once every 2 months.

An opportunity arises for me to point out how young you are, I jest that you're under 14, Ben tells me you're not and then you confirm it.

Don't ruin a good thing :P But in my head, this is now you.

hey there people :)

finally got round to registering. Been a lurker for many years, and a listener to chris and the team for many more... since way back in the early am days. Chris and the various guises of the team have got me through many an hour of slow tedious work in various jobs!! outside of the R1 demographic slightly (im 32) and tbh chris is pretty much all o listen to on the station now. realised i dont actually know what im gonna work to first thing inthe morning now the show has finished!!

hopefully catch some of you around!!

Hello!

I've been reading this forum and had it bookmarked for years, but I've only just go round to registering! Its silly I know, but I hope you won't hold it against me! I've been listening to Moyles for around 7 years, I've grown up listening to the show - its seen me through both secondary school and college; it helped me to meet my best friends. When I started school, I discovered a mutual interest between myself and two other lads, which was of course 'The Chris Moyles Show'. We instantly became friends - we ran online radio stations, worked our school's station (much to the annoyance of the other pupils) and all went on to college together to study media. We now run our own small production company that shoots events, provides PA equipment along with a DJ and helps people capture their favourite moments on film. Its cheesy as hell but, I have Chris and the team to thank for my friends, my career path and my general light-hearted look on life!

I'm distraught that the show is coming to an end, but I guess all good things have to. I'll follow Moyles wherever he goes and he will always be a role model to me, somebody who had a big impact on my life.

I"m Nathan. Long term, long distance listener from Sydney, Australia.
I 'found' this show about 5 years ago when a dutch engineer was playing dutch radio so I thought I would find something better. I found myself on BBC radio 1, and due to time difference Chris was on.
I find it hard (clip) to listen to the show live but always listen to the show (ex music) the following morning.
I will miss the show as it makes everything local seem weak. It also provides something more real to the radio, with real people not reading from a script. Those who whinge about the lack of music need to press play on their 'generic MP3 players'.
I will 100% make sure that I follow the careers of the current team, as I feel that I can relate to all of them in a way.

Long time listener and lurker here too. I've been listening to the show daily since I started working in 2006. One by one a friend and I converted our other doubting friends to the show, as he converted me. I don't listen so often since I moved to London in 2010 and now travel by train but I have the headphones in a couple of times a week. A good reason to still have an MP3 player with FM radio!

My username is a reference to a short but very funny sequence Chris and Dave did on, I think, the very first show I ever heard, "The BBC: You Don't need a stupid ass dish on the side of your house", Dave picked Chris up for saying "Ash dish" not "Ass dish", saying ass and dish were "not good word neighbours". I still have the slip of it on my computer at home somewhere.

I've been popping on this board occasionally for years, I remember enjoying hearing C0ckit and Pullit in 2007/8 and listening to it again on here.

I am probably well outside the target demographic for the show now, I was 21 when I first tuned in an d I'm now 28. I'm a keen music fan normally but I hate the R1 paylist, love the show, and will be sorry when it's gone.

Hello all.
I'm Yasmin. I'm not exactly new here, just lurking since the early days, and finally decided to join to contribute my thoughts and feelings.
I've been listening to the Chris Moyles show since 04 at age 12! Loved it then, and still love it today!

Hi everyone,

Similar to Aashni, I'm a long time lurker, and listener of Chris since he started afternoons at Radio 1 in 1998. Decided to join the discussion today for obvious reasons. The breakfast show will be greatly missed.
