Cheers Johnny, that brought back memories. In a time when Saturday morning TV was decent and not just some grinning idiots doing a link between cartoons.

After Callum from Carpark Catchphrase's rise (and impending fall) of Twitter followers, is there a possible feature which the prize could be featuring a user's Twitter account to follow and telling listeners to follow them? Maybe like a basic music quiz with a leader board and have it called 'Follow the Leader' or something. After they get knocked from the top spot, listeners would be told to unfollow and you could gather the same kind of momentum as with Carpark Catchphrase with callers staying on for days/weeks.

I guess a problem could be that the BBC won't want to promote Twitter accounts which could have any old content on them from advertising to unsuitable content and the feature I guess could be abused... and maybe after the last few weeks with Chris' hints, this wouldn't have a chance. But I do find it quite interesting when a listener/caller gets their Twitter account mentioned as they're usually quite interesting. Maybe that's just the magic of screening callers for Carpark Catchphrase though.

I had another think of what can be done.

Is Top 5 or Fave 5:

Each week they can have a different topic of what are their fave 5 or top 5 e.g. Top/Fave 5 movies of all time, holidays they have been on, things on their bucket list. If it gets to a week that it is food related. Then what ever each persons #1 is they have to bring it into the show for everyone to share in for e.g. in that case Top/Fave 5 crisps, chocolate, main course and dessert. The listeners can either use facebook or twitter to suggest topics that could be done. The next top/fave 5 then picked randomly out of a hat or something for the next week.
IT WAS WHAT IT WAS.

Yeah I do miss the Saturday Morning kids shows from back then, Going Live, Live & Kicking (Andi Peters/Emma Forbes & Jamie Theakston/Zoe Ball eras) and SMTV were great, sadly it's a gormless chef on BBC1/ITV1 and sod all else.

Once I realised they were in that mood - I held back what we think were the best ideas so that we can do our treatment to them and re-present them to the team off-air at a future date as planned.

The Doppleganger idea was good, will combine audio and visual. Think Chris was taking the pi** out of it because thats a funnier reaction than saying ' I like that'.

That brought back some memories; Check this one out with a very young and svelt Andi Peters, way before the protein shakes and body building. I'd forgotton The Human League had a short comeback in the early 90's. Where are Trev and Simon these days?

Hey Aled :) I was thinking, maybe, if you guys would take up my suggestion. It would be where two or three contestants phone in, and sing a song down the phone. Contestant Karaoke. The rule is, you're not allowed to take part, unless you're a rubbish singer. The reason you only take part of you're bad at singing is for the comedy factor. Hopefully this would be a barrel of laughs. Take care.

Ah, that was the sketch at the beginning was what I was looking for in response to The Flying Badgers post earlier on, unfortunately the "we don't do duvets" line has been cut.

Re Trevor & Simon, they still seem to work together, there's a blog here: http://trevandsimon.com/ Although it hasn't been updated since November last year, they were popular though, even with adults, as I said above shame the kids don't have this sort of thing anymore on a Saturday morning.

Heres a reasonably serious idea.
After Dave has finished his tedious link & its been played, one of the team comes up with a far quicker & more credible link (& i know thats against the point of it somewhat) for Dave's two tunes off the top of their head.
I do it all the time & it isn't difficult. You can usually do it in four or five steps.
If Chris or Aled judge it a good link, or at least better than Dave's, then the victorious team member can set Dave a tune to think up the link for for the next day, a purely random one would work better if allowed.

They did a sketch where they drove in a pretend car with a 'star' that they interviewed and asked if they 'had ever stroked a ferret' :) Chris also played a clip recently with them saying 'you have to have an asbo to listen to Radio 1' Where has this sort of comedy gone?

Unfortunately that sort of kids programme has gone these days (God I sound like an old git, I'm only 27 ), Going Live, Live & Kicking and SMTV were kids shows that adults could also enjoy, however unfortunately these have all gone. The reason the BBC & ITV gave was that there are dedicated Children's channels so they're kind of redundant (then again there are plenty of cooking channels so that argument is a load of old bunkum) so we're stuck with those gurning idiots James Martin & Anthony Worrall Thompson each Saturday. With ITV in particular it's cost cutting as usual which is why the channel has no original Kids programmes, documentaries, etc. and that's it's been replaced by the shite they currently broadcast.

I am old :( and I am baffled by what children watch ! As for cooking/decorating/and cooking again progs.. don't get me started.
I recently moved and had no tv for a month. When it was up and running, got a tv guide and there was sod all on !!! So I put the radio back on. Didn't realise till then how little tv I watched or what was watchable.

Face your fears week.

Each day one member of the team faces their fear. Maybe it's dogs for Chris or Dave, or using the lift for Dom (unless he has bigger fears!).

It's probably best if the team choose each other's fears to face as they know each other the best and what they're most afraid of.
